What is Virtues of Life?

Virtues are things that are morally good/right, therefore a modpack surrounding it should embrace the game rather than trying to change it!! <3

Virtues of Life is a vanilla+ modpack I made originally for a friend around the idea of making minecraft feel fuller without taking away any of the vanilla feel. It combines a collection of quality-of-life, performance, exploration, building, and visual mods to improve the game in ways that feel natural rather than turning it a new game. (Though I do also like those modpacks... like one of my other ones called hard times if you're into that kinda thing...) <3

No Optifine Required

While optifine has its moment... it's really a relic of older minecraft versions at this point. New mods have allowed basically all features that optifine introduced to be recreated without the need for optifine and its horrible compatibility issues. You can experience all the joys of improved performance, shader support, custom textures & animated textures, and more. <3

Multiplayer Is Encouraged!!

This modpack has many aspects to allow you to connect directly to your friends and begin playing. With a mod called world host, you can send a friend request to one of your friends and join their worlds easily! There's also an in-game voice chat with addons to allow you to feel fully immersed in the game. <3

Many Quality-of-Life Additions

On top of the performance improvements, this modpack implements a quite a few mods that help Minecraft feel smoother, ranging from simple mouse tweaks, to many new structures to encourage exploration, with many new biomes, structures, and mobs to see! <3

Improve The Look Of Minecraft

Lastly, this modpack gives minecraft a nice little visual & atmospheric refresh while staying faithful to the original style. Improved player & mob animations, 3D skins, many new particle effects, sound enhancements, a collection of resource packs, as well as a preconfigured shader option designed to complement vanilla!!! <3
