SkyBreaker — Unique Minecraft Minigame Plugin
SkyBreaker is a fast-paced Minecraft minigame where one player becomes the Breaker and tries to destroy the arena from above, while the remaining players — the Survivors — must run, dodge, collect powerups and survive until the timer runs out.
The arena is made of multiple layers of blocks. Survivors start inside the arena and must avoid falling or leaving the arena bounds. The Breaker is frozen at a special Breaker spawn point and attacks from above using unique weapons and abilities. Every round is dynamic, intense and different.
How the Game Works
At the beginning of each round, players join an arena and wait in the lobby. When the minimum player requirement is reached, the countdown begins. Once the game starts, one player is selected as the Breaker.
The Breaker’s goal is to eliminate all Survivors by destroying the arena, creating holes, using special abilities and forcing players outside the arena bounds.
The Survivors’ goal is to survive until the round timer ends. They can use Survivor classes, collect powerups, avoid destroyed areas and try to stay alive as long as possible.
If the Breaker eliminates every Survivor, the Breaker wins. If at least one Survivor stays alive until the timer ends, the Survivors win.
Main Features
Unique Breaker vs Survivors Gameplay
SkyBreaker is not a classic PvP minigame. It is based on arena destruction, survival, movement, abilities and quick decision-making.
One player controls the pressure from above, while everyone else fights to survive below.
Breaker Classes
The Breaker can use different classes with unique weapons and abilities.
Default Breaker classes include:
- Bomber — classic explosive projectile.
- Sniper — precise long-range shot.
- Meteor — delayed impact attack.
- Gravity — collapses vertical sections of the arena.
- Frost — freezes and breaks blocks after a delay.
- Laser — destroys blocks using a particle laser line.
- Void Mage — pulls Survivors toward the impact area.
Each Breaker class can have its own cooldown, projectile, radius, particle effects, sound effects, price and description.
Survivor Classes
Survivors can also choose classes with special abilities.
Default Survivor classes include:
- Jumper — activates a double jump ability.
- Dasher — quickly dashes forward.
- Guardian — blocks one elimination attempt.
- Engineer — restores part of the arena.
- Feather — grants slow falling for a short time.
Survivor abilities use cooldowns and can be activated during the game with a special ability item.
Breaker Chance System
SkyBreaker includes a fair Breaker selection system.
The longer a player plays as a Survivor, the higher their chance to become the Breaker in a future round. When a player becomes the Breaker, their chance resets.
This prevents the same players from being selected too often and makes Breaker selection feel much fairer.
Arena System
The plugin includes a complete arena system.
Admins can create and manage arenas using an in-game setup wizard and GUI.
Arena features include:
- Arena region selection.
- Player spawns.
- Breaker spawn.
- Spectator spawn.
- Waiting lobby.
- Player limits.
- Arena enable/disable option.
- Arena validation.
- Admin arena GUI.
- Delete confirmation.
- Test teleport buttons.
Arena creation is designed to be simple and visual instead of relying on many complicated commands.
Arena Setup Wizard
SkyBreaker includes an interactive arena setup wizard.
Admins can start the setup process and configure the arena step by step:
- Select arena region position 1.
- Select arena region position 2.
- Add player spawns.
- Set Breaker spawn.
- Set spectator spawn.
- Set waiting lobby.
- Validate and save the arena.
The wizard uses titles, messages and an arena setup tool to make the process easier.
Real Breaker Projectiles
Breaker attacks are not just invisible block destruction.
Most Breaker classes use real projectiles, such as slimeballs or other configured projectile items. When the projectile hits a block, the class ability is triggered.
Some classes, like Laser, use particle effects instead of normal projectiles.
This makes the game more visual, more satisfying and easier for players to understand.
Collectable Powerups
Powerups spawn directly inside the arena as collectable objects.
They are displayed with an item and hologram-style text, showing the powerup name and despawn timer. Players must physically collect them during the round.
Example powerups include:
- Shield
- Coin Burst
- Block Restore
- Speed
- Jump
- Regeneration
Powerups can be configured with spawn timing, despawn time, pickup radius, item icon, effect and active limit.
Cosmetics System
SkyBreaker includes cosmetic progression for players.
Cosmetic types include:
- Movement Trails — particles while walking.
- Shooting Trails — particles behind Breaker projectiles.
- Death Effects — effects triggered when a player is eliminated.
Movement trails can work outside the arena and during the game, making cosmetics useful everywhere.
Shop System
The plugin includes a GUI-based shop system.
The shop is used only for buying unlockable content. Players do not select classes or cosmetics from the shop. Selection is handled in separate GUI categories.
Shop items can include:
- Breaker classes.
- Survivor classes.
- Movement trails.
- Shooting trails.
- Death effects.
- Crates or other rewards.
Each item can have its own price, icon, display name, lore and requirement.
Classes and Cosmetics Menus
SkyBreaker separates buying and selecting.
The Shop is for purchasing. The Classes menu is for selecting owned classes. The Cosmetics menu is for selecting owned cosmetics.
GUI sections include:
- Breaker Classes
- Survivor Classes
- Movement Trails
- Shooting Trails
- Death Effects
- Battle Pass
- Player Profile
- Achievements
This keeps the menu system clean and easy to understand.
Scoreboards
SkyBreaker includes multiple scoreboard modes.
Scoreboards can be different depending on the player state:
- Lobby scoreboard.
- Waiting arena scoreboard.
- In-game scoreboard.
- Spectator scoreboard.
Example waiting scoreboard information:
- Arena
- State
- Players
- Countdown time
Example in-game scoreboard information:
- Role
- Breaker
- Survivors alive
- Round time
The scoreboard system is configurable and can be customized through configuration files.
Spectator Mode
When a Survivor is eliminated, they can become a spectator.
Spectators are teleported to the spectator spawn and can watch the rest of the round without interfering with gameplay.
Spectator features include:
- Spectator spawn.
- Spectator scoreboard.
- Leave item.
- Safe cleanup after the round.
- Automatic restore after leaving.
Arena Protection
SkyBreaker includes gameplay protection for arenas.
During a game, the plugin can block:
- Breaking blocks by hand.
- Placing blocks.
- Dropping items.
- Picking up unwanted items.
- Using blocked commands.
- Leaving the arena bounds.
- Interfering as a spectator.
Leaving the arena region during the game counts as elimination, making the arena boundaries part of the gameplay.
Achievements
The plugin includes an achievement system with rewards.
Achievements can be based on player progress, such as:
- Winning games.
- Playing rounds.
- Winning as Breaker.
- Winning as Survivor.
- Collecting powerups.
- Using abilities.
- Eliminating players.
Achievements are configurable and can reward coins or other progression items.
Battle Pass and Crates
SkyBreaker includes progression systems for long-term player engagement.
The Battle Pass can reward players for playing, winning and completing objectives.
Crates can contain configurable rewards such as:
- Coins.
- Classes.
- Cosmetics.
- Other unlockables.
This gives players reasons to keep playing beyond a single round.
Leaderboards and Statistics
SkyBreaker tracks player statistics and can display top players.
Example tracked stats include:
- Games played.
- Wins.
- Breaker wins.
- Survivor wins.
- Players eliminated.
- Powerups collected.
- Abilities used.
- Coins.
- Breaker chance.
This makes the plugin suitable for competitive servers and seasonal gameplay.
Fully Configurable
SkyBreaker is designed to be highly configurable.
The plugin uses separate configuration files for different systems, such as:
config.ymlmessages.ymlarenas.ymlmenus.ymlclasses.ymlcosmetics.ymlpowerups.ymlgameplay.ymlachievements.ymlbattlepass.ymlcrates.ymlscoreboards.ymlstorage.ymlevents.yml
All player-facing messages should be editable in messages.yml.
The plugin is built around customization, allowing server owners to adjust gameplay, messages, GUI items, classes, cosmetics, rewards and arena settings.
Why Choose SkyBreaker?
SkyBreaker is designed for servers that want a unique and replayable minigame instead of another clone of classic modes.
It combines:
- Arena destruction.
- Class-based gameplay.
- Powerups.
- Cosmetics.
- Progression.
- Achievements.
- Battle Pass rewards.
- Configurable arenas.
- Competitive statistics.
- Fast and intense rounds.
It is easy for players to understand, fun to watch and highly customizable for server owners.
Summary
SkyBreaker is a unique Breaker vs Survivors minigame where one powerful player destroys the arena while everyone else tries to survive.
With configurable classes, collectable powerups, arena setup tools, cosmetics, scoreboards, achievements, battle pass, crates and leaderboards, SkyBreaker can work as a standalone minigame mode or as a premium event system on any Minecraft server.
Destroy the sky. Survive the chaos. Become the legend.
