Altar SMP S3
Bring legendary weapons and material-based altar rituals to your Minecraft server. Customize abilities, recipes, cooldowns, and effects to suit your SMP.
Development build: this version contains six obtainable items. Four have implemented ability systems; Carnage and Nichirin are currently placeholders without active powers.
Weapons & Abilities
| Weapon | Abilities |
|---|---|
| Void Scythe | Summon and launch obsidian shards. Gain Speed II while holding the weapon. |
| Thunder Sovereign | Throw a blade that can lodge in a target, applying a timed wound with slowness and regeneration for the attacker. |
| Blood Greatsword | Throw your blade to inflict bleeding, or use Blink to teleport toward a targeted block and enter temporary stealth. |
| Mace | Pull a target toward you with Chain Pull or launch yourself forward with Dash. Includes Wind Burst I. |
| Carnage | Obtainable placeholder — abilities are not implemented yet. |
| Nichirin | Obtainable placeholder — abilities are not implemented yet. |
Use right-click for primary abilities. Blood Greatsword’s Blink and the Mace’s Dash use sneak + right-click. Void Scythe uses one right-click to summon shards and another to launch them.
Altar Rituals
Create dedicated altars for all six items. Each altar displays its required materials and an item preview.
Interact with an altar to craft its weapon. Missing ingredients are reported; successful rituals consume the required materials and award the corresponding item.
Ritual settings include:
- Customizable ingredient lists
- Floating item previews and recipe text
- Optional solid altar barriers
- Completion particles and sounds
- Server-wide crafting announcements
Configuration
Adjust cooldowns, damage settings, effect durations, projectile settings, Blink distance, Mace pull range, Dash strength, and ritual recipes.
Optional cooldown boss bars show ability recovery. Sound settings support custom resource-pack keys or vanilla Minecraft sounds.
Configuration is generated at:
plugins/Legendaries/config.yml
Before public use: change general.item-name and general.menu-title, which currently default to test. The weapon names above identify their configuration entries.

Compatibility & Development Status
Tested on Paper 1.21.11 with Java 21. Basic runtime checks covered the item menu, all six crafting rituals, and ability handlers.
Full PvP damage behavior, balance, resource-pack visuals and sounds, and complete cooldown-reset coverage still require further validation. Other Minecraft versions, Spigot, Purpur, and Folia have not been tested.
This S3 build has a different weapon roster from the older 13-weapon Altar SMP release. Older showcase footage may demonstrate features that are absent from this version.
The plugin internally reports Legendaries 1.0.0. This release is obfuscated.
