LungeControl is a Bukkit/Paper plugin that puts a cooldown on the "Lunge" spear mechanic, including Lunge Swaps.

Currently only tested on 1.21.11, should work on all 1.21.x tho. let me know if any issues.

This plugin is insanely simple and adds nothing that isnt needed, I have published this plugin because its alternatives created issues with other mechanics such as Lunge Swapping.

Its config file supports customizable Cooldown length Detection sensitivity Whether blocked attempts refund the durability/hunger Whether the player gets an on-screen cooldown message

after changing the config you can run /lungecontrol reload instead of restarting the server.
