The meme on SparklyPaper's homepage edited to be about this plugin. Image description: A meme with someone hitting a ping pong ball with a comically large table tale tennis rachet. The meme is captioned "Me using ✨Another Items Dropped on Death don't Despawn Plugin✨ for my minecraft server". A person standing next to the person with the large rachet is holding a normal rachet and saying "why don't you use modrinth/datapack/no-despawning-death-loot smh". The large rachet player responds "haha in-house software ho brrr and becausee i need 1.21.11 support". There has also been a small chibi character added with the text "loves in-house software".

This plugin was made for my own server. Do not expect support for it. I am uploading it here in case someone needs this for the same versions as me.

It makes it so that whenever an item entity spawnes, if a player who is on the death screen is within 0.01 blocks (effectively in the same position as the item) it is set not to despawn, therefore making it so that the items you drop when you die can't despawn.

This plugin or a similar one can be useful if you want to keep Mojang's original intentions when it comes to item loss on death while removing the urgency caused by what seems to me to be a technical limitation.
