AntiLavaCast

Blocks oversized water/lava cascades, lava casts, and invalid air placement on Bukkit-compatible servers.
Features
- Anti-air-place: rejects unsupported block placements and invalid bucket interactions using reach, line-of-sight, and support checks.
- High-placement and cascade protection: checks reachable drops before water or lava is placed, blocking oversized waterfalls and lava falls.
- Redstone dispenser protection: applies placement checks and source limits to water and lava dispensed by redstone contraptions, including sources added to flowing fluid.
- Lava-cast prevention: tracks fluid spread and limits large cobblestone, stone, basalt, and obsidian formations.
- Shared area limits: groups nearby sources across players, preventing repeated placements from covering a large area. Local placement rate limits curb bucket spam.
- Farm-friendly limits: counts sources and covered area per Y level for stacked farms. Flat water gets twice the block allowance; waterfalls keep normal limits.
- Water bucket coverage: handles ordinary water buckets, water-filled mob buckets, and waterlogged blocks.
- Source cleanup: removes contributing sources when limits are exceeded, with optional cleanup of their tracked flowing fluid.
- Useful controls: color-coded help and status, separate water/lava settings, tab completion, config reload, logging, and personal bypass.
Requirements and installation
Supports Bukkit/Spigot, Paper, Purpur, and Folia from 1.21.x through 26.x, including 26.3 where available. Servers require Java 21 for 1.21.x or Java 25 for 26.x.
Build with JDK 21 installed: ./gradlew build or gradlew.bat build on Windows. Copy build/libs/AntiLavaCast-<version>.jar to your server's plugins folder and restart.
Commands
All commands start with /lavacast; /antilavacast is an alias.
| Command | Purpose |

Example: /lavacast set water max-sources 10.
lavacast.admin grants administration (default OP). lavacast.bypass permits personal bypass (default false).
Settings
Edit plugins/AntiLavaCast/config.yml and run /lavacast reload. Defaults allow 10 water or 4 lava sources per nearby area per Y level, with potential drop limits of 24 and 20 blocks respectively.
Use flat-area-multiplier and flat-source-bonus to adjust flat-floor allowances. Existing settings are preserved during upgrades. CoreProtect is no longer used or required.
Only new placements are tracked; tracking resets on restart. Natural, untracked fluid is left alone. Farms with long falling streams still need suitable cascade limits or bypass.
On Folia, checks stop at unloaded chunks or regions owned by another thread; risky placements crossing those boundaries are refused.
