AuroraWorldManager
Saves player positions in tracked worlds and world groups - ideal for a single server with a lobby, where players returning to an SMP world come back where they left off, not at 0, 0.
Running one server with a lobby world? Then you know the problem: players step out of the lobby into your survival world and end up at world spawn - 0, 0 - every single time, even though they have a house, a farm, a whole base out there somewhere.
AuroraWorldManager remembers exactly where every player left each world and brings them right back. No coordinates spam, no teleport plugins to wrangle - one plugin, one command, done.
โจ Features
| ๐พ | Position saving & restore - the exact spot a player left a tracked world from is saved and restored with /auroraworld world <name> |
| ๐ | World groups - link worlds together (e.g. overworld + nether + end) so they share one "last known location": /auroraworld group <name> sends you to whichever world of the group you visited last |
| ๐ก๏ธ | Safe surface teleports - no saved position yet? Players are placed on a safe surface spot near spawn instead of raw 0, 0 - no lava, no fire, no void, no suffocating in a wall |
| ๐๏ธ | Lobby-friendly - built for single servers with a lobby world: book a trip into the SMP and you end up at your place, not at spawn |
| ๐ | Works with any travel method - vanilla portals, plugin teleporters, GUIs, /mv tp, anything that fires a standard teleport event |
| โผ | Survives everything - positions persist per player across restarts, reloads and relogs |
| ๐ | English & German out of the box - set language: en or de; all messages can be freely edited |
| ๐จ | Full color-code support - every message supports & formatting |
| ๐ฑ๏ธ | Tab completion for every subcommand and argument |
๐ Getting started
- Drop the jar into your
pluginsfolder and restart. - Decide which worlds players should "return into". Edit
config.ymlor do it in-game:
/auroraworld addworld world
/auroraworld addgroup survival world world_nether world_the_end
/auroraworld reload
- Players are remembered automatically from their very next world change on. That's it.
Example config.yml
language: en
tracked-worlds:
- world_example
world-groups:
survival:
worlds:
- world
- world_nether
- world_the_end
Tip: The first world listed in a group is its base world - the safe-spot fallback target for players who have never been in that group before. Group worlds are tracked automatically; you don't need to duplicate them into
tracked-worlds.

๐ง How it works
Every time a player leaves a tracked world - through a portal, a teleport, when quitting or getting kicked - their exact coordinates (+ timestamp) are stored for that world. Nothing to run, no buttons to press; it just happens.
When they then use /auroraworld world to come back, they land exactly where they left off.
World groups go one step further: all worlds in a group pool their positions together. Coming back with /auroraworld group survival drops you into whichever world of survival you were in most recently - overworld tonight, nether tomorrow, wherever you actually are in your adventure.
Never been in any world of the group? You get placed on a safe surface location near the base world's spawn - not on a lava lake, not inside the void, not at raw 0, 0.
๐ Languages
language: en(default) orlanguage: de- set inconfig.yml- The matching file (
lang/en.yml/lang/de.yml) is copied into the plugin's data folder on first start, where you can edit every single message to your heart's content - Missing keys automatically fall back to the bundled defaults, so an outdated file will never break anything
๐ฆ Requirements
- Java 21
- Paper 1.21+ (or any compatible fork)
Data is stored locally in plain YAML (positions/<uuid>.yml per player) - no database, no external service.
