Changes
BetrayalSMP — Rebuilt for the series
The plugin has been rebuilt from the ground up around the Betrayal SMP formula: no shortcuts, PvP is the only way to gear up.
Lethal restrictions
- Open a crafting table or crafter: inventory wiped, instant death — no warning
- Open an enchanting table: inventory wiped, instant death
- Take an enchanted book from a librarian trade: inventory wiped, instant death (all other villager trades untouched)
- Custom death message per violation, all configurable in
config.yml
Kill points & rewards
- +1 point per player kill, −1 when killed by a player (never below 0), saved by UUID across restarts
- Every player kill drops an enchanted book at the victim's location — its level scales with the killer's points (I → II → III → IV → max)
- Curses excluded from the loot pool, no chat spam
Config & commands
- Everything is configurable: restriction toggles, death messages, point values, reward tiers, enchantment pool
/betrayalsmp(aliases/bsmp,/hp): reload, version, points, stats — full tab completion, op-only by default
Compatibility
- Runs on 1.19 – 26.x (Spigot, Paper, Purpur), requires Java 17+
- The crafter restriction auto-activates on versions where the block exists and is safely ignored on older ones
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
