Overview

ChatReactions+ is a straightforward plugin that makes your server chat fun and engaging.

And EVERYTHING is customizable! From the chat reactions to the prizes, even the formatting of EVERY. SINGLE. Message.

The plugin will randomly select and send phrases into chat. Players must be the first to correctly type the chosen phrase. The first person to do so wins whatever reward you configured—ranging from Minecraft items and currency to crate keys or custom commands.

You aren't limited to default reactions and rewards; you are free to add whatever fits your server.

Luck Perms permissions are added for just about everything!

Type Of Reaction

  • Random Reaction Timer: Reactions do not occur on a predictable schedule. The plugin selects a random delay before triggering another reaction, keeping players on their toes.
  • Clean Text Matching: Chat colors and formatting codes are stripped before checking answers, so &d&lHello still counts as a normal Hello. Matching is plain text only—no color packs breaking reactions.
  • Case Sensitivity Toggle: Choose whether answers must match capitalization. Change it in /chatreactions settings or config.yml.
  • In-Game Settings GUI: Toggle automatic reactions, case sensitivity, answer time, and min/max delay between reactions without editing files by hand. Settings Menu
  • Custom Rewards: Grant items, currency, crate keys, or execute console commands when a player solves a reaction.
  • Player-Created Reactions: Players can create custom reactions if they hold enough reaction credits.
  • Reaction Creator GUI: Set the phrase, then pick Random Prize or Custom Prize (each has its own permission). Members can be limited to random prizes while staff get full control.
  • Admin GUI: /chatreactions admin opens a menu to start or delete any configured reaction, open create, and edit player win counts.

  • Leaderboard: /chatreactions top shows who has the most reaction wins.
  • Cancel Live Reactions: /chatreactions cancel ends the current reaction if you need to stop it early.
  • Permission-Aware Commands: Subcommands only show in tab complete and help if the player actually has permission for them—no teasing staff tools they can't use.
  • Hot Reloading: Apply changes instantly using /chatreactions reload without restarting your server.
  • Easy Setup: Drop the plugin into your plugins directory, adjust your settings, and go.

How It Works

Reactions

When a reaction triggers, all online players will see a prompt in chat:

Chat Reaction! Please type Creeper? Aw Man into chat to earn yourself a prize! You have 30 seconds.

The first player to type the phrase within the time limit receives the configured reward, and their victory is broadcast across chat.

If no player completes the reaction before the timer expires, the reward is forfeited and the plugin resets for the next event.

  • /chatreactions - Displays the help menu (only lists commands you have permission for).
  • /chatreactions toggle - Toggles automatic reactions on or off globally.
  • /chatreactions settings - Opens the settings GUI (case sensitivity, timers, auto on/off).
  • /chatreactions start <reactionID> - Triggers a specific reaction immediately.
  • /chatreactions cancel - Cancels the currently active reaction.
  • /chatreactions create - Opens the in-game reaction creator GUI (requires reaction credits).
  • /chatreactions admin - Opens the staff admin GUI (start, delete, create, edit wins).
  • /chatreactions top - Shows the reaction wins leaderboard.
  • /chatreactions list - Lists all configured reaction IDs.
  • /chatreactions status - Displays the current state of active reactions.
  • /chatreactions credit give <player> <amount> - Grants reaction credits to a player.
  • /chatreactions credit take <player> <amount> - Removes reaction credits from a player.
  • /chatreactions credit check <player> - Checks a player's reaction credit balance.
  • /chatreactions credit giveall <amount> - Gives credits to every online player.

Configuration Preview
