Installation
- Download the plugin jar
- Drop the jar into your server's
plugins/folder. - Start (or restart) the server. CozyTools will generate its default
config.ymlandabilities.ymlfiles underplugins/CozyTools/. - Edit the configs to taste, then run
/ctools reloadin-game or from console.
Abilities
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Vein Miner | Breaks connected blocks of the same ore/type in one hit (like a mini vein-miner), up to a configurable block cap. |
| Excavator | Breaks a cluster of soft blocks (dirt, sand, gravel, etc.) in one hit - great for terraforming. |
| Tree Feller | Chops an entire tree (logs, with optional leaf cleanup) from a single hit on the trunk. |
| Auto Smelt | Automatically smelts anything the tool mines, using vanilla furnace recipes - no furnace needed. |
| Rocket Boots | Double-jump to launch yourself forward, optionally restricted to when you're in water. |
Each ability only triggers on the block types listed in its whitelist (see abilities.yml) - anything else breaks normally. Durability cost, particle effects, and per-world restrictions are all configurable per ability.
Recieve Tools
There are two ways to hand tools to players:
Enchant Menu
Run this from the console to open a GUI for a player, letting them pick an ability, a particle effect, and enchants themselves:
/enchantmenu <tool> <player> <time> [ability]
<tool>- a tool key defined undertools:inconfig.yml(e.g.pickaxe,shovel,axe)<player>- the target player's username (must be online)<time>- how long the tool lasts:30m,24h,7d,1mo, orpermanent[ability]- optional; pre-locks the tool to a specific ability so the player can't choose
Example:
/enchantmenu pickaxe cozydev 7d
This command is console-only - it won't work when typed by a player in chat.
Templates
Give a player a ready-to-use tool instantly, using a template you've defined in config.yml:
/ctools give <template> <player> [time]
Example:
/ctools give drill cozydev 3d
If [time] is omitted, the template's own configured expiry is used.
Commands
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/ctools <tool> <player> [time] [ability] |
Opens the enchant menu GUI for a tool key directly. |
/ctools give <template> <player> [time] |
Gives a pre-configured template tool/boots to a player. |
/ctools reload |
Reloads config.yml and abilities.yml without restarting the server. |
/enchantmenu <tool> <player> <time> [ability] |
Console-only version of the enchant menu command. |
All commands have tab-completion for tool keys, templates, online players, and duration examples.

Configuration
Two config files live in plugins/CozyTools/:
config.yml- tool definitions (material, name, valid abilities, enchants), templates for/ctools give, rocket boots settings, GUI text, messages, particle effects, and the tool expiry system.abilities.yml- per-ability settings: block whitelists, max blocks per activation, durability cost, default particles, and per-world toggles.
Both files are heavily commented - open them up and adjust values directly, then run /ctools reload to apply changes without a restart.
Tool Expiry
Tools can be temporary or permanent. Set the duration when giving a tool (30m, 24h, 7d, 1mo, or permanent), and expired tools are automatically swept and removed from inventories/containers based on the expiry: settings in config.yml.
