Cutlass

Inspired by AltarSMP.

Base item: Netherite Sword Command: /cutlass [player] Permission: customweapons.cutlass (default: op) Resource Pack: Install the AltarSMP Texture Pack - this plugin set is built around it and looks/sounds as intended with it installed.

Cross-Plugin Detection (/weapons)

Every AltarSMP weapon plugin registers /weapons [player], which hands you one weapon from every other AltarSMP plugin currently installed and enabled - a live check each run, nothing to configure.

Crafting Recipe

Where:

• I = Gold Ingot
• S = Stick

Drop the ingredients into a crafting table in that pattern (. = empty slot) to get the Cutlass. Recipe can be turned off in config.

8 Attack Damage, 1.6 Attack Speed (Netherite Sword-level, regardless of the weapon's own material). The item is also unbreakable.

Cooldowns are in seconds and reload from config on server start. Set recipe.enabled: false to disable crafting and hand the item out with /cutlass only.

Abilities & Triggers

Notes

• The weapon is bound to the player who receives it via a persistent NBT tag, so lore/name changes won't break ability detection.
• The activating player is never hit by their own ability's damage, knockback, or negative effects, even for area attacks, explosions and travelling projectiles/waves.
