EasyServer

EasyServer is a server setup and management plugin for Paper. It puts the common admin tasks behind a few simple menus, so you can get a server running without editing several config files or installing a separate plugin for each job.

Features

Everything beyond the basics is optional. The setup wizard lets you turn on only the features you want.

  • Setup wizard: /setup opens an in-game menu where you set the server name, description, max players, default gamemode and server type. You can pick which features to enable.
  • Admin dashboard: /admin opens a menu for managing players, moderation, backups and performance.
  • Backups: Scheduled backups with a configurable interval, retention limit and compression. You can also create and list backups with commands.
  • Moderation: /warn, /mute, /kick and /ban with reasons. Mutes accept a duration, and the mute and ban messages are configurable.
  • Player management: View and manage online players from the admin menu.
  • Performance monitor: Check server performance information in-game.
  • AFK system: Players can toggle AFK with /afk, and they are also flagged automatically after a configurable timeout. AFK announcements can be turned on or off.
  • Anti-grief protection: Spawn protection with a set radius, block break and place restrictions for chosen materials, and rapid-break detection that limits how many blocks a player can break in a short window.
  • Announcements: Automatic broadcast messages on a set interval, with a {server} placeholder for your server name.

easyserver.admin grants access to all the permissions below by default, and all of them default to operators.

Installation

  1. Download the jar and place it in your server's plugins folder.
  2. Start or restart the server.
  3. Run /setup in-game as an operator and follow the wizard.
  4. Adjust plugins/EasyServer/config.yml if you want finer control.

  • Java 21 or newer

Configuration

All features are off by default and are enabled through the setup wizard or config.yml. Use /easyserver reload to apply config changes without restarting.
