FarmZone
Summary: Private Halloween-themed farm worlds with upgrades, protected building, shared access, automated shop sales and delayed income.
FarmZone is a server-side Paper plugin that gives players a private farm world attached to a custom Halloween pumpkin head. Each Farm Zone starts as a protected 25 × 25 × 25 area and can be upgraded to Level X. It is designed for crop farms, cooperative building and automated sales without requiring a client-side mod.
Features
- Custom carved Halloween pumpkin head with a unique Farm Zone identity.
- Place Farm Zone heads on solid ground, with at least 20 empty horizontal blocks between placed zones.
- A maximum of 2 owned Farm Zones per player.
- A separate, empty farm world for every zone.
- Protected grass floor, invisible barrier walls and ceiling, no fall damage and no player-versus-player damage inside the farm.
- Level I–X upgrades. Each level adds 10 blocks to the width, length and height; Level X is 115 × 115 × 115.
- Existing buildings, storage, levels, members, bank balance and testing state are preserved when a head is moved.
- A picked-up head can be traded through a compatible item-trading plugin. The player who places it becomes the owner; there is no Transfer Ownership command or menu.
- Up to 3 friends who can build and break by default.
- Up to 3 co-op members who can enter and view the farm, but cannot build, break, use containers or receive extra permissions.
- Per-friend permission controls with separate icons for building, breaking, harvesting, containers, redstone, buckets, entities and the Sell Hopper.
/jump farmzoneand/fz jumpfor owners, friends and co-op members after the production test is complete./leave farmzoneand/fz leavestart or restart the 10-minute production test every time a player leaves.- Outside holograms show the remaining test time and the farm's average 10-minute income.
- Income is stored in the Farm Zone bank and can be collected only outside the farm after testing finishes.
- Stronger crop-growth support for wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, nether wart, stems, sugar cane, cactus, bamboo, berries, cocoa and kelp.
- Custom Sell Hopper with 5 usable slots at Levels I–IV, 9 at Levels V–IX and 13 at Level X.
- The Sell Hopper collects complete item stacks within 2 horizontal blocks, including diagonals, at the same block height. It does not collect above or below itself and does not require a feeder hopper.
- Hopper intake timing: 1.5 seconds for the first stack, 800 ms for following stacks and an 8-second idle reset.
- Sales run through EconomyShopGUI's official sell-price integration. FarmZone does not invent fallback prices.
- Admin-only hopper blacklist editor using the live EconomyShopGUI shop catalog. Changes are saved to
hopper-blacklist.ymlimmediately when Done is selected. - Optional PrimeSellChest integration with protected farm-world handling and Farm Zone bank payments.
- Extensive admin controls for prices, maintenance, sales, holograms, limits, zone locking, statistics, testing and safe farm-size compaction.
- English menus, messages, command help and tab completion.
Requirements and recommended server stack
For a complete FarmZone server setup, use this stack:
- Paper 1.20.4 or newer in the supported 1.20.x–1.21.x API range.
- Java 21 or newer, according to the Java requirement of the Paper build being used.
- Vault — required as the economy bridge.
- EssentialsX — requied economy provider for Vault. Another Vault-compatible economy provider can be used instead, but one must be installed and enabled.
- EconomyShopGUI — required for shop sell prices, stock limits and automated hopper sales.
- PlaceholderAPI — requied for server-wide placeholder compatibility and other plugins that expose FarmZone placeholders. FarmZone's core economy and menus do not require PlaceholderAPI by themselves.
- LuckPerms or another permissions manager — recommended for assigning
farmzone.admin. - DecentHolograms, or another hologram plugin — optional for servers that want a separate hologram system. FarmZone already creates its own holograms with Paper TextDisplay entities, so an external hologram plugin is not required for the built-in countdown and average-income display.
Optional integrations:
- PrimeSellChest — FarmZone detects and integrates with supported public PrimeSellChest APIs. If it is missing, FarmZone still works without its extra features.
In short, the required runtime chain is Vault + an economy provider such as EssentialsX + EconomyShopGUI. PlaceholderAPI and an external hologram plugin are recommended integrations, while FarmZone's built-in hologram display works without either one. FarmZone is a server plugin; players do not need to install anything on their clients. Folia is not supported. Paper 26.2 should be treated as a server-side compatibility target; validate the exact server and dependency versions on a test server before production use.

These are normal Markdown links. Modrinth renders them as clickable links in the project description, so readers can select a dependency name or download entry and go directly to its project page.
Installation
- Stop the server.
- Install Vault, a Vault economy provider and EconomyShopGUI.
- Optionally install PrimeSellChest.
- Put
FarmZone-1.0.0.jarin the server'spluginsfolder. - Start the server once. FarmZone creates its own data folder and required files, including
config.yml,data.ymlandhopper-blacklist.yml. - Give administrators the
farmzone.adminpermission, or use an operator account. - Give a player a Farm Zone head with
/fz give <player> [amount]and place it on solid ground. - First, set an upgrade price for the farm zone in the admin panel. Once that's done, players can upgrade their farm area, hopper capacity, and crop growth rate for that set price at every level. The first Farm Zone level is free. Upgrade prices are unset by default and must be configured by an administrator before players can purchase upgrades.
Player commands
All normal commands work with /farmzone and the short /fz alias. The separate /jump farmzone and /leave farmzone forms are also available.

Normal players do not receive the admin panel, the admin blacklist editor or global zone controls. They can manage only the Farm Zones they own and the members of those zones. A co-op member is always view-only and cannot be upgraded to a builder.
Admin commands and permission
The farmzone.admin permission is operator-default and grants access to all administration tools.
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/fz admin or /fz adminpanel |
Open the admin panel. |
/fz give <name> [1–64] |
Give a player Farm Zone heads. |
/fz list |
List registered Farm Zones and owners. |
/fz reload |
Reload configuration, blacklist data and integrations. |
/fz hopperblacklist |
Open the EconomyShopGUI-based blacklist editor. |
The admin panel includes global Level I–X upgrade prices, all-zone management, zone locking, production pause, immediate test completion, statistics reset, deletion confirmation, visitor eviction, maintenance, sales and hologram switches, farm limits, integration status, head distribution, reload and safe size compaction.
EconomyShopGUI and hopper blacklist
EconomyShopGUI is the authoritative source for item sell prices and stock limits. FarmZone keeps items stored when EconomyShopGUI is unavailable, an item has no valid price, the API is incompatible or the material is blacklisted.
Administrators can open /fz hopperblacklist. The editor reads the server's actual EconomyShopGUI categories and product items. Click a product to toggle its material, then click Done in the bottom-right corner to save. Cancel in the bottom-left corner discards the draft. The saved material names are written automatically to:
plugins/FarmZone/hopper-blacklist.yml
Example:
items:
- DIAMOND_BLOCK
- NETHERITE_INGOT
Material names are exact Bukkit/Minecraft material names and are case-insensitive. Invalid YAML, invalid material names or an invalid list format fail closed: FarmZone does not sell items until the file is corrected and reloaded.
PrimeSellChest
PrimeSellChest is optional. When a supported version is detected, FarmZone protects farm-world Prime chests from direct payout behavior and routes supported farm sales into the Farm Zone bank. A Prime chest immediately beside the FarmZone Sell Hopper can increase the sale speed according to the configured multiplier. PrimeSellChest behavior outside Farm Zones remains separate.
PrimeSellChest versions can change their public APIs. Test the exact PrimeSellChest version with the exact Paper version before using it on a production server.
Configuration
The generated config.yml contains the main settings:
minimum-distance: minimum horizontal distance between heads; default 20.max-zones-per-player: maximum owned zones; hard-capped at 2.base-sizeandbase-height: starting dimensions; default 25.size-per-levelandheight-per-level: dimension increase; default 10.calibration-seconds: departure test duration; default 600 seconds.growth.bonus-per-level: additional growth bonus; default 0.35.growth.offline-tick-chance: base supplemental growth attempt chance; default 0.06.hopper.first-stack-millis: first intake delay; default 1500.hopper.next-stack-millis: subsequent intake delay; default 800.hopper.idle-reset-millis: idle reset; default 8000.hopper.sale-interval-ticks: normal sale interval; default 50 ticks.hopper.pickup-radius: horizontal collection range; default 2.upgrade-prices.2throughupgrade-prices.10: global prices set by administrators.blocked-commands: shop commands blocked inside Farm Zones.
Existing configuration files are migrated to the current dimension and growth defaults while preserving configured upgrade prices. Existing larger farms are checked safely before compaction. If the area that would be removed contains player blocks or entities, FarmZone keeps the old dimensions and reports that an administrator can retry after clearing it.
Data and privacy
FarmZone stores Farm Zone data locally in the server's plugin folder, including ownership, members, bank values, hopper contents, crop positions and settings. It does not require a remote account or upload player data to a remote service. Vault, EconomyShopGUI and optional integrations follow their own behavior and policies.
FarmZone is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, EconomyShopGUI, Vault or PrimeSellChest.
