Details
FeatherMorph is a Paper plugin that lets players disguise as mobs and other players directly on the server. It is built for modern Paper-based servers and focuses on practical, production-ready disguise gameplay with server-side rendering, permissions, skills, abilities, and optional client-side quality-of-life features.
This project is a maintained fork of the original FeatherMorph by MATRIX-feather / NiFeather.
Features
- Disguise as many vanilla mobs and players
- Use disguise-specific skills and abilities
- Server-side disguise rendering through PacketEvents
- Optional client integration mod support
- GUI disguise selection when the client mod is installed
- Hotkeys for skills and actions with the client mod
- Localized player messages based on the client language
- Paper / Paper-based server support
- Built for the latest supported Minecraft versions
Production Notes
FeatherMorph uses NMS and newer Paper APIs to support modern Minecraft mechanics. Because of that, this fork targets recent Minecraft releases instead of trying to support every old version at once.
For production servers, use the -final.jar file that matches your Minecraft target version.
Current production targets:
- Minecraft
1.21.11 - Minecraft
26.1 - Minecraft
26.1.1 - Minecraft
26.1.2
Older versions may not compile or run correctly because required Paper/Minecraft APIs are missing.
Requirements
FeatherMorph requires:
- A Paper or Paper-based server
- PacketEvents for 2.x releases
Recommended dependency:
Client Integration
FeatherMorph works as a server plugin, but installing the optional client integration mod unlocks a better player experience:
- Disguise selection GUI
- Skill/action hotkeys
- Client-side interaction improvements
The client mod is optional unless your server specifically requires those features.
Support
Support is handled through the project issue tracker. Bug reports and feature requests are welcome.
Because FeatherMorph depends on modern Paper APIs and NMS internals, support is focused on the latest one or two Minecraft releases.

This fork keeps the original license terms. FeatherMorph also builds on work and ideas from PacketEvents, Paper, ProtocolLib, LibsDisguises, and VeinMiner.
