LifeSteal

Custom hardcore-lite lifesteal for Paper 1.21+.

Kill a player, steal a heart. Lose all your hearts, serve a timed ban. A complete, self-contained lifesteal gamemode with heart items, anti-farm protection, and automatic ban management — no other plugins required.

Features

  • Steal hearts on kill — every player kill transfers a heart from the victim to the killer
  • Heart items — withdraw hearts into physical items you can trade, sell, or redeem later
  • Timed death bans — hit the heart floor and you're banned for a configurable period (1 hour by default), with automatic unban when it expires
  • Anti-farm cooldown — you can only gain a heart from the same player once per cooldown window (30 minutes by default), closing the obvious farming loop
  • Vanilla heart reset on return — returning players come back with a clean vanilla heart count rather than carrying over an exploited state
  • Configurable heart caps — set the base, minimum, and maximum heart count server-wide
  • Optional command whitelist — restrict regular players to a safe list of commands while in the mode

Configuration highlights

  • hearts.base / hearts.min / hearts.max — starting, floor, and ceiling heart counts
  • anti-farm.enabled / anti-farm.cooldown-minutes — the same-victim cooldown window
  • command-whitelist.enabled / command-whitelist.allowed — restrict regular players to a safe command list while the mode is active

Setup

  1. Drop LifeSteal.jar into your server's plugins/ folder.
  2. Restart the server.
  3. Set your heart caps and anti-farm window in config.yml, then /lifeadmin reload.

Requirements & compatibility

  • Server: Paper 1.21.11 (built and tested against this API version).
  • Java: 21 or newer.
  • No external dependencies required.
