HelixAntiCheat
HelixAntiCheat is a modern, lightweight, and highly configurable anti-cheat plugin designed to protect Paper Minecraft servers from combat, movement, and packet-based cheats.
Built for Paper 1.21.4, HelixAntiCheat uses multiple layers of evidence, contextual analysis, and violation-level tracking to detect suspicious behavior while minimizing false positives. Instead of instantly punishing players based on a single suspicious action, the system evaluates patterns over time and considers important factors such as ping, teleportation, velocity, damage, jumping, knockback, and other legitimate gameplay situations.
Powerful Detection System
HelixAntiCheat includes a wide range of checks designed to detect common and advanced cheating methods.

Low False-Positive Design
HelixAntiCheat is designed to avoid punishing legitimate players unnecessarily. The detection engine accounts for situations that can normally look suspicious, including:
-
High latency and unstable connections
-
Teleportation and server transfers
-
Knockback and velocity effects
-
Recent damage and combat movement
-
Legitimate jumping and sprinting
-
Elytra flight and gliding
-
World changes and respawning
-
Temporary server lag
-
Player movement sampling differences
The plugin combines multiple pieces of evidence and uses a time-persistent violation system instead of relying only on one event or one detection. This helps provide fast detection against cheaters while keeping normal gameplay smooth for legitimate players.
Violation Levels and Punishments
HelixAntiCheat uses a configurable violation-level system. When a player's total violation level reaches the configured punishment threshold, the punishment sequence can be triggered immediately.
The default punishment experience includes:
-
Detection and evidence recording
-
Attack and damage cancellation
-
A visual punishment animation
-
A slow upward movement effect
-
Particles and visual effects around the player
-
A temporary combat lock
-
Automatic kick after the animation finishes
The punishment animation is designed to last approximately two seconds and can be configured through the plugin settings. Server administrators can enable or disable automatic punishment depending on their preferred moderation style.
Staff Tools and Testing
HelixAntiCheat includes several commands for server owners and staff members. These commands make it easier to inspect violations, review player behavior, and test the punishment system.
Example commands:
/helix help
/helix status
/helix checks
/helix alerts
/helix inspect <player>
/helix profile <player>
/helix violations <player>
/helix metrics
/helix reload
You can manually test the punishment animation with:
/helix test <player> <check> <vl>
Example:
/helix test Steve reach 5
This command is intended for staff testing and immediately starts the punishment sequence for the selected player.
Evidence and Staff Review
HelixAntiCheat can collect detailed evidence about suspicious actions, including detection type, violation level, timing, movement context, combat information, and suppression factors.
Staff members can use the review system to classify incidents as:
-
Legit
-
Investigate
-
Confirmed
Evidence and metrics can also be exported in JSONL format for moderation workflows, external analysis, and long-term server statistics.
Configuration
Most major systems are configurable, including:
-
Detection thresholds
-
Violation-level values
-
Alert cooldowns
-
Punishment settings
-
Setback behavior
-
Movement tolerances
-
Ping and teleport suppression
-
Velocity and damage grace periods
-
Individual check toggles
-
Staff permissions
-
Evidence and metrics export
This allows server owners to adjust HelixAntiCheat for different server types, connection qualities, gameplay styles, and moderation policies.
Compatibility
-
Minecraft: 1.21.4
-
Platform: Paper
-
Java: 21
-
PacketEvents: Miniversion 2.7.0
HelixAntiCheat is recommended for server owners who want reliable protection against combat and movement cheats without sacrificing legitimate player movement or server performance.
Important Notice
No anti-cheat can detect every possible cheat with perfect accuracy. For the best results, use HelixAntiCheat together with active staff moderation, server logs, player reports, and regular configuration adjustments.
HelixAntiCheat is built around three main goals:
-
Fast and accurate cheat detection
-
Minimal false positives
-
A polished and configurable punishment experience
