Haven
Haven is a homes plugin for Paper. Players can save locations, find them in a clickable list, and teleport back later. It works with the default settings, and server owners can adjust home limits, teleport timing, messages, and sounds.
Features
- Named homes with limits set through permissions
- A home list grouped by world. Click a name to teleport
- An optional teleport warmup that can cancel when a player changes block or takes damage
- An optional cooldown applied only after a successful teleport
- Confirmation before replacing an existing home
- Home name tab completion
Commands
| Command | Alias | Description |
|---|---|---|
/sethome [name] |
Save a home at your location. The default name is home |
|
/home [name] |
Teleport to a home | |
/delhome <name> |
/removehome |
Delete a home |
/homes |
/listhomes |
List your homes |
/haven reload |
Reload the config and messages |
Permissions
The player commands are available to everyone by default.
| Permission | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
haven.home |
Everyone | Use /home |
haven.sethome |
Everyone | Use /sethome |
haven.delhome |
Everyone | Use /delhome |
haven.homes |
Everyone | Use /homes |
haven.homes.<n> |
Not set | Set a home limit of <n> |
haven.homes.unlimited |
Operators | Remove the home limit |
haven.bypass.warmup |
Operators | Skip the teleport warmup |
haven.bypass.cooldown |
Operators | Skip the teleport cooldown |
haven.admin.reload |
Operators | Use /haven reload |
For example, grant haven.homes.5 to one rank and haven.homes.10 to another. If a player has more than one limit permission, the highest limit applies. Lowering a limit does not delete existing homes.
Configuration
Use config.yml to set home limits, teleport timing, and sounds. Each option is explained in the file. You can replace individual sounds, use sounds from a resource pack, or turn sounds off.
Haven’s home and teleport messages use MiniMessage and can be edited in messages.yml. Run /haven reload to apply changes to both files.
PlaceholderAPI
PlaceholderAPI is optional. These placeholders work while the player is online:
| Placeholder | Value |
|---|---|
%haven_homes_used% |
Number of saved homes |
%haven_homes_max% |
Home limit |
%haven_homes_free% |
Remaining home slots |
%haven_homes_list% |
Saved home names |
Use a PlaceholderAPI build compatible with your Paper version.
Requirements
Haven supports Paper 1.18.2 through 26.3. Use Java 17 for Paper 1.18 and 1.19, Java 21 for 1.20 and 1.21, and Java 25 for 26.x.
Storage and metrics
Homes are stored in one YAML file per player. Stop the server before editing these files by hand.
Haven uses bStats for anonymous usage statistics. You can disable bStats in plugins/bStats/config.yml.
