MythicTools

MythicTools adds tools with abilities to your server: a drill that mines 3x3, an axe that fells a whole tree, an axe that sells the contents of chests it breaks, a hoe that harvests and replants a 3x3 of crops, and buckets and pearls that never run out.

Every tool is an item you define in config.yml. You pick the material, name, lore, enchantments and which abilities it carries. Tools can be handed out permanently or with a self-destruct timer, which makes them a good fit for crate rewards and store items.

Why use it

• One config file for every tool, no code needed.
• Several abilities can go on the same item.
• Self-destruct timers, with a maintenance mode that freezes every timer during downtime.
• Respects WorldGuard, Lands, GriefPrevention, HuskClaims and ProtectionStones.
• Every block a drill, tree chopper or magic hoe clears counts as a real block break, so Jobs, mcMMO, AuraSkills and CoreProtect see it.
• Folia supported.

Abilities

Ability	What happens
drill	Breaks a 3x3 area around the block you mine. Custom mode breaks a 3x3x3 cube, DonutSMP mode a flat 3x3.
tree-chopper	Breaking a log fells the whole connected tree, capped by tree-chopper-max-blocks.
multitool	Switches to the right tool type for the block you're mining.
sell	Breaking a chest sells everything sellable inside it through your shop plugin.
magic-hoe	Harvests every grown crop in a 3x3, replants them and sells the drops.
water-bucket / lava-bucket	A bucket that is never used up.
drain	Removes every block of that liquid in a 3x3x3 around the clicked block.
ender-pearl	A pearl that is never used up, with a 3 second cooldown.
firework / fun	A rocket that is never used up, for elytra boosting. fun adds a colored burst.
shard-boost	A potion that gives a shard multiplier. Needs the Shards plugin.

Commands

Command	What it does
/mythictool give <player> <tool> [time]	Gives a tool. With a time like 3d2h30m, it self-destructs.
/mythictool items	Opens a menu with every configured tool.
/mythictool maintenance [on|off]	Freezes or resumes every self-destruct timer.
/mythictool reload	Reloads config.yml.
/booster	Shows your active shard booster.

All /mythictool commands need mythictools.admin (OP by default).

Defining a tool

Optional keys: lore, unbreakable: true, custom-model-data and potion-type. The default config ships a multitool, tree chopper, sell axe, magic hoe, drill, shovel, water and lava buckets, ender pearl, two fireworks and a shard booster.

Selling

The sell and magic-hoe abilities sell through your shop plugin's prices. Supported: EconomyShopGUI, DonutUtils, UltimateShop, ShopGUIPlus, Essentials (worth.yml), CuyModern and EconomyModern. Set priority-shop to force one. Without a shop plugin, these two abilities stay off.

Install

1. Put the jar in plugins/ and start the server.
2. Give yourself a tool with /mythictool give <player> <tool>.
3. After editing config.yml, run /mythictool reload.

Requires Paper, Purpur or Folia 1.21+ and Java 21.

Data collection

MythicTools sends anonymous usage statistics to bStats (server count, Minecraft version and similar). You can turn this off for every plugin in plugins/bStats/config.yml. It makes no other network connections.
