One Small Rule

Give your survival server one fresh gameplay twist every day.

One Small Rule includes 100 functional rules spanning combat, mining, movement, food, weather, loot, and survival. Its automatic rotation visits every enabled rule once before the cycle repeats, so the same few ideas cannot keep appearing close together.

Commands

• /smallrule — show today's rule
• /smallrule list — list enabled rules
• /smallrule set <rule|auto> — set a rule or return to automatic rotation
• /smallrule reroll — select a different rule for today
• /smallrule reload — reload the configuration

Administrative commands require onesmallrule.admin, granted to server operators by default.

Installation

1. Run Paper 1.21.4 or a compatible newer version with Java 21 or newer.
2. Put the jar in your server's plugins folder.
3. Restart the server.
4. Edit plugins/OneSmallRule/config.yml if you want to change the timezone, rotation seed, or enabled rules.

Beta notice

Version 2.0.0 is an initial beta release. It has been compiled and structurally verified, but it has not yet been play-tested on a live server. Back up your world and configuration before installing it on an important server, and report any unexpected behavior.
