--- ## ⚔️ About **OPsBodyGuard** adds a personal Iron Golem bodyguard system to your Minecraft server. Players can purchase their own guards, manage their behavior, control them individually or together, and maintain their contracts through the server economy. The plugin is designed with survival and SMP gameplay in mind, while also fitting naturally into RPG, economy, and custom server setups. Instead of simply spawning an Iron Golem and leaving it behind, players can **hire, manage, and maintain** their own bodyguards as part of their gameplay. --- ## ✨ Features - 🛡️ **Personal Iron Golem bodyguards** - 💰 **Vault economy integration** - 📜 **Guard contracts** with configurable durations - 💵 **Recurring contract payments** - 🏷️ **Discounts for longer contracts** - ⚔️ **Combat and protection behavior** - 🎯 **Target and guard control** - 👥 **Multiple guards** - ❤️ **Configurable guard health** - 📍 **Follow and distance settings** - ✨ **Teleport behavior** when guards become separated - 💾 **Guard persistence across player sessions** - 🔄 **Automatic guard return when the owner rejoins** - ⚙️ **Configurable gameplay and economy settings** - 👑 **Separate player and administrator permissions** --- ## 💰 Economy & Contracts OPsBodyGuard uses **Vault** to connect with your server's economy. Vault acts as the bridge between OPsBodyGuard and an economy provider. You need **Vault plus a Vault-compatible economy plugin** for the payment system to work. **EssentialsX** is one example of an economy provider that can work with Vault and can be used to provide the economy needed by OPsBodyGuard. [![ESSENTIALSX](https://img.shields.io/badge/ESSENTIALSX-DOWNLOAD-2F8CFF?style=for-the-badge)](https://modrinth.com/plugin/essentialsx) Other examples of Vault-compatible economy plugins include: - **S-Economy** - **SimpleEconomy** - **V-Economy** You only need **one** economy provider. The contract system can be configured around your server's economy, including: - Guard purchase price - Contract duration - Payment intervals - Multi-day contracts - Contract discounts - Guard limits - Other economy-related settings This allows the bodyguard system to use the economy already running on your server. --- ## 🛡️ Guard Behavior Bodyguards are designed to stay with their owner and provide protection during normal gameplay. Players can manage their guards using the available control commands, while server owners can adjust how guards behave and how far they can move away from their owner. Follow, distance, and teleport settings help keep guards close to their owner while travelling around the world. --- ## ⚔️ Combat & Targeting Guards can respond to threats and participate in combat according to their configured behavior. Players can control their guards and manage their targeting without having to manually handle every Iron Golem. Bodyguards can be useful while: - Exploring - Fighting hostile mobs - Travelling - Defending an area - Providing extra protection during normal gameplay --- ## 👥 Multiple Guards Players can own multiple bodyguards, with the maximum number controlled by the server configuration. This allows server owners to decide how many guards a player can maintain and lets the feature fit naturally into the server's economy and progression. --- ## ❤️ Health & Balance Guard health can be adjusted to fit your server's gameplay. Server owners can configure how much health bodyguards have instead of being limited to a single fixed value. This makes it possible to balance bodyguards around the difficulty, progression, and economy of the server. --- ## 💾 Persistence & Login OPsBodyGuard keeps track of a player's guards between server sessions. When a player **leaves the server**, their bodyguard leaves with them instead of remaining in the world. When the player **joins the server again**, their guard returns and continues to belong to that player. This keeps the world from being filled with inactive players' guards while still allowing players to keep their bodyguards between sessions. > **Important:** Guards do **not** automatically respawn after being killed. --- ## 🎮 Commands | Command | Description | |---|---| | `/guardbuy` | Purchase a bodyguard | | `/guardcontrol` | Manage and control your guards | | `/guardall` | Control all of your guards | | `/guardcancel` | Cancel the current guard action | | `/guardhelp` | Show available commands | | `/guardreload` | Reload the plugin configuration | --- ## 🔐 Permissions | Permission | Description | |---|---| | `opsbodyguard.default` | Standard player features | | `opsbodyguard.admin` | Administrative features | --- ## ⚙️ Configuration OPsBodyGuard gives server owners control over the main parts of the bodyguard system. Configuration includes settings for: - Guard prices - Contract duration - Payment settings - Guard limits - Guard health - Follow behavior - Teleport distance - Guard behavior - Messages - Economy settings --- ## 📦 Installation ### Requirements - **Paper 1.21.x** - **Java 21** - **Vault** - **One Vault-compatible economy provider** ### Installation 1.
