OwnerBroadcast

A simple, effective owner announcement plugin for Paper 1.21+.

Pop a title announcement on every online player's screen with one command. No chat spam, no missed messages — just a clean, configurable on-screen broadcast.

Features

  • On-screen title popup — announcements render as a title/subtitle overlay, impossible to miss or scroll past
  • Configurable timing — control fade-in, stay, and fade-out duration in ticks
  • Optional sound — play any Bukkit sound alongside the popup, with volume and pitch control
  • Optional chat echo — log the announcement to chat as well, with its own configurable format
  • Spam guard — an optional per-sender cooldown between broadcasts
  • Works from console — broadcast from the console with a configurable console display name

Permissions

Configuration highlights

  • broadcast.cooldown-seconds — per-sender spam guard (0 disables it)
  • broadcast.chat-echo / broadcast.chat-format — optionally mirror the broadcast into chat
  • title.fade-in / title.stay / title.fade-out — timing in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second)
  • title.title / title.subtitle — the popup text, with <player> and <message> placeholders
  • title.sound / title.volume / title.pitch — the accompanying sound effect, or "" for silence

All text fields support MiniMessage formatting, with legacy &-codes also parsed.

Setup

  1. Drop OwnerBroadcast.jar into your server's plugins/ folder.
  2. Restart the server.
  3. Customize the title style and timing in config.yml, then /broadcast reload.

Requirements & compatibility

  • Server: Paper 1.21+ (Purpur works).
  • Java: 21 or newer.
  • No external dependencies required.

OwnerBroadcast is open-source and MIT-licensed.
