Configuration
QuickTools uses two primary configuration files:
config.yml
gui.yml
config.yml controls gameplay behavior, permissions, cooldowns, messages, homes, teleport requests, spawn settings, RTP settings, and command availability.
gui.yml controls the appearance and structure of all GUI menus.
GUI customization includes:
utility:
title: "&8QuickTools &7| &fUtilities"
size: 54
category-size: 27
category-title: "&8QuickTools &7| &f{category}"
Categories can contain selected utilities:
categories:
information:
slot: 24
material: BOOK
name: "&bInformation"
lore:
- "&7View player and server details"
items:
- playtime
- firstjoin
- ping
- tps
- coords
- world
- serverinfo
Individual GUI items can be customized:
items:
ping:
slot: 14
material: REDSTONE
name: "&bPing"
lore:
- "&7View your connection latency."
Permissions
Every command has an individual permission, for example:
quicktools.craft
quicktools.home
quicktools.tpa
quicktools.ping
The wildcard permission grants access to all QuickTools permissions:
quicktools.*
Command access can also be configured independently:
commands:
ping:
enabled: true
permission-required: false
permission: quicktools.ping
cooldown-seconds: 0
This allows server owners to make commands public, permission-only, disabled, or subject to cooldowns.
Reloading Configuration
After changing configuration files, use:
/qt reload
This reloads both:
config.ymlgui.yml
The command supports console usage and has its own configurable permission:
quicktools.reload
QuickTools is intended for servers that want a single, polished, highly customizable utility system without adding unnecessary physical blocks or clutter to the world.
