RexPerms is a complete permission plugin that works the way LuckPerms does: groups, inheritance, temporary ranks, contexts, tracks and prefixes. One jar runs on every version from 1.8.8 to 26.x, on Spigot, Paper and Purpur.

Features

  • Groups with inheritance and weights
  • Temporary permissions and ranks (30m, 7d, 1mo...) that expire automatically
  • Contexts: give a permission only in one world, server or game mode
  • Tracks for promote / demote (vip → mod → admin)

Setup

  1. Put the jar in your plugins folder
  2. Start the server
  3. Give yourself access from the console: rp user YourName permission set *
  4. Create your first group: /rp creategroup vip 10
  5. Give it a prefix: /rp group vip meta setprefix "&6[VIP] "
  6. Add a player: /rp user Steve parent add vip

Moving from LuckPerms

  1. With LuckPerms installed, run /lp export migration
  2. Copy plugins/LuckPerms/migration.json.gz into plugins/RexPerms/
  3. Remove LuckPerms, install RexPerms and start the server
  4. From the console, run rp import migration.json.gz

Permissions

  • rexperms.* - every command (operators have it by default)
  • rexperms.user.promote / rexperms.user.demote - promote and demote players
  • rexperms.log.notify - see permission changes live
  • rexperms.chat.color - use colours in chat (when the chat module is on)

  • %rexperms_prefix% and %rexperms_suffix%
  • %rexperms_primary_group% and %rexperms_primary_group_display%
  • %rexperms_group_expiry_time_<group>% - time left on a temporary rank

Tested on

Paper 1.8.8, 1.12.2, 1.16.5, 1.20.6, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.3 and Spigot 1.21.11. Folia is not supported.
