ShoulderRide
Carry your friends on your shoulders — server-side piggyback rides for Paper 1.21+/26.x. No client mod: the rider is a normal passenger, so vanilla players see it.
/carry <player> asks, the other player answers /carry accept. Consent is the default, so this
does not become a griefing tool on a public server; staff with shoulderride.force skip the question.
Stacking is allowed up to a configurable limit (player towers, but not infinite ones), riders fall off
on damage, get off by sneaking, and nobody is left stuck after a restart.
Commands: /carry <player> · /carry accept|deny|off|drop · /carry reload
Aliases: /shoulderride /piggyback /ride
Tested on
Paper 1.21.11, 26.2 and 26.3 (runtime-tested, not just "it loads"): the passenger stack, the stack-height and top-of-stack logic, dismounting from the middle of a stack, and MiniMessage plus legacy colour parsing including malformed input — 17 assertions, green on both versions.

Development note
This project is AI-assisted: the code is written with Claude under the direction, testing and release approval of the maintainer. Every release is run against a live Paper server before it ships.
Human-led development: a human maintainer directs, tests and takes responsibility for every release; AI is used as a development tool (disclosed per Modrinth policy). The icon is hand-made geometric artwork, not AI-generated.
