⚔️ SimpleDuels
Server-side duels for Minecraft, with real arenas, party modes and hard anti-theft protection.
Challenge a player, pick a kit and a map, and fight. No arenas are ever shared, no inventory is ever lost, and nothing can be stolen from a duel — not even by accident.
❓ What it does
SimpleDuels runs 1v1 duels on private, cloned copies of your map, so any number of duels can happen at once on the same server without ever colliding.
Pick a kit and a map through in-game menus, invite someone, and the plugin handles everything: cloning the arena, teleporting both players, freezing them through a countdown, running the fight, and returning everyone exactly where they were with everything intact.
✨ Highlights
- 🛡️ Private arena clones: Every duel gets its own copy of the map, spaced apart and automatically cleaned up when the duel ends. Concurrent duels never interfere with each other, and the original map is never touched.
- 🎒 Fully configurable kits: Any layout of items — hotbar, armour, offhand, anything. Each kit can have its own layout per player, its own menu icon, name and description.
- 📜 Per-arena rules: Each map has its own flags: PvP on/off, dropping items, placing blocks, breaking player-placed blocks, and breaking the map itself.
- 🧱 Hard map protection: Blocks can't be broken or placed outside the rules, and explosions, pistons, fire spread, liquid flow, melting, decay and Enderman-style block changes are all blocked inside the arena. Frosting, fire and fluids simply do not reach your map.
- 🔒 Real inventory protection: Everything — items, armour, offhand, crafting grid, XP, level, health and hunger — is backed up before the duel and restored when it ends. Players return to the exact spot they started from. If anything ever goes wrong, the plugin keeps a second in-memory copy and re-applies it automatically.
- 🚫 Anti-theft by design: Duel items carry an invisible, permanent tag that cannot be renamed, enchanted or removed. A duel item that leaves its duel, changes hands, or reaches a player it wasn't given to is destroyed on the spot — picked up, dropped, stored, crafted with, or moved by a hopper.
- 🎉 Party duels (1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4):
/duel serveropens a queue that anyone can join. Teams are split when the queue fills, and teammates are completely immune to each other (including TNT, end crystals and beds) while enemies hurt you normally. - 🛠️ In-game arena editor: Build maps with a selection tool, set both spawn points, paste a schematic, preview and test them, and edit kit layouts — all from inside the game.
- 👁️ Spectating: Watch any running duel with a live-updating menu showing both players' health, or spectate an individual duel up close.
- ⚙️ Configurable everything: Titles, menu layouts, slot positions, icon materials, filler items, messages and colours are all editable in
config.ymlandlang.yml. Both files update themselves with new options on plugin updates and never overwrite your custom text.
