SlateCore

SlateCore adds a simple, vanilla-style Deepslate generator to Minecraft.

It works similarly to a traditional Cobblestone generator: when flowing water interacts with Basalt, SlateCore generates Deepslate.

No custom blocks. No complicated mechanics. Just a simple and reliable way to make Deepslate renewable.

How It Works

The mechanic is intentionally simple:

Flowing Water + Basalt → Deepslate

The generated block is the vanilla minecraft:deepslate, so it behaves exactly like naturally generated Deepslate.

The default generation interval is 4 ticks, and it can be changed through the configuration.

Configuration

SlateCore provides a lightweight configuration with options for:

• Generator — Enable or disable Deepslate generation
• Output — Configure the generated block
• Interval — Change how often blocks are generated
• WorldGuard — Enable or disable WorldGuard integration
• Messages — Customize SlateCore's messages and command output

The generator is enabled by default and generates a block every 4 ticks.

WorldGuard Support

SlateCore can optionally integrate with WorldGuard.

When enabled, SlateCore respects WorldGuard-protected areas when handling generation.

WorldGuard is completely optional and is not required to use SlateCore.

Commands

SlateCore keeps its command system simple.

/slatecore reload — Reloads the configuration.

/slatecore info — Displays runtime information about SlateCore, including the server implementation, Minecraft version, generator status, output block, interval, and more.

It supports Minecraft 1.19–26.3.

SlateCore can be used in both singleplayer and multiplayer environments, depending on the platform.

Why SlateCore?

SlateCore started with a simple idea:

What if Deepslate could be generated like Cobblestone?

That's it.

SlateCore doesn't try to add unnecessary content or change how Deepslate works. It simply introduces a small, vanilla-friendly mechanic that makes Deepslate renewable.

It's also my first project, built from that idea into a lightweight and configurable mod/plugin.
