Changes
SmartWithdraw 4.0.0
This update makes SmartWithdraw easier to run and safer to update. New versions can now be installed from the game or console with one click.
Added
- Update checker. Checks for new versions on startup and every few hours. The console is told, and admins see a clickable [Download & Install] button when they join.
- Safe one-click install. The new jar is downloaded, verified, and your config and data are backed up first. It is applied on the next restart. The running plugin is never touched, so a crash or stopped server cannot leave a half-installed file.
- Health check. If Vault, an economy plugin or PlayerPoints is missing, the console and admins get a clear warning with a download link.
- Automatic config upgrades. New options are added to your existing
config.ymlon update, comments included. Your own values are never changed, and a backup is saved first. - New commands:
/sw update check,/sw update install,/sw status. - New permissions (default op):
smartwithdraw.admin.update,smartwithdraw.admin.health. - New config options (added automatically):
update.*andhealth.notify-admins-on-join.
Changed
- Vault is now an optional dependency. The plugin loads without it and reports unavailable currencies instead of refusing to start.
- The jar is now always named
SmartWithdraw.jar.
Updating
Replace the old jar and restart. No config changes are needed. Versions before 4.0.0 have no update checker, so install this one manually once. Later updates can be done in-game.
To disable the install button set update.allow-install: false. To turn the checker off set update.enabled: false.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
