TreasureRun

TreasureRun is an early-alpha treasure-hunt minigame plugin for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1 on Spigot. Players start a run, search for treasure chests, follow proximity-based audio and visual cues, earn points, and view ranking results.

Alpha notice: Test this release on a non-production server first and keep a current world backup.

Requirements

  • Java 17

  • No required plugin dependencies
  • ProtocolLib is an optional soft dependency
  • MySQL is optional and disabled by default

Installation

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Place the TreasureRun JAR for the version you are testing in the server's plugins directory.
  3. Start the server with Java 17.
  4. Join with Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1.
  5. No ResourcePack is required for the basic flow. Optional client-language packs are generated locally from the operator's own installed Minecraft 1.20.1 assets and are not distributed with TreasureRun.

The default configuration starts without MySQL. Database-backed behavior remains available when database mode is enabled.
