Subjects of Ymir is a Minecraft mod that brings Titan Shifting and other mechanics from Attack on Titan into the game!
The goal of SOY is to be as vanilla-friendly as possible while giving you a fun, accurate, and engaging Attack on Titan experience.
This mod is in Beta. Expect more Titans and content soon!
⚡ Titan Shifting ⚡
In your Minecraft world, you may come across the Power of the Titans, either naturally or from a previous Titan Shifter. Activating it under certain conditions transforms you into a powerful Titan.
To get started, search for an ancient Eldian Village. Some say that underneath a certain house can lie a basement, and inside that basement secrets might be found...

🧵 Omni-Directional Mobility Gear 💨
ODM Gear is a highly customizable movement tool for fighting Titans. The Gear provides you with two grapple-like hooks for zipping around and traversing terrain.
By installing an advanced turbine, you can use gas to strafe and change direction mid-air.
ODM Gear is powered by Iceburst Stone, which can be found in Iceburst Geodes below cold, compressed biomes (like jagged peaks or ice spikes).
💀 Curse of Ymir 🥀
After a Titan Shifter's thirteenth death, their spine will be dropped with their loot. Any other player can consume this spine to inherit their Titan, including their eye color and memories (yes, memories! Chat messages are rarely saved and randomly seen by future inheritors).
Note: If you lose your Titan, you cannot eat your own spine to get it back (for balancing reasons).

⚙️ Configuration & Commands ⚙️
To configure the mod on the client or server, install Forge Config API Port and Forge Config Screens.
SOY adds one command, /titan, to control everything related to Titan Shifting. The sub-commands should be pretty intuitive (set to set, unshift for force unshifting, randomize to randomize, etc). But of course, if you need help with anything, feel free to join my Discord or DM me!
To skip progression and unlock all Titan abilities: 1) run /titan @s stats max; 2) while shifted into a titan, run /ability unlock @s subjects_of_ymir:titan/<titan> all and /ability unlock @s subjects_of_ymir:shifter all. (The first command maxes out your statistics, since some abilities require Time Spent as Titan or Total Amount Steam Healed to reach a certain value before unlocking. The next commands satisfy the Path Point requirement for abilities that need to be manually purchased by the player.)
