A server-side Double Jump enchantment for boots — configurable levels, jump strength, anvil book upgrades, and optional treasure-chest books. No client mod required.

Install on the server (and in singleplayer). Vanilla clients can join and use it; a client install is optional.
Dependencies: Fabric requires Fabric API and Architectury API. NeoForge requires Architectury API. Forge requires no additional dependencies.
Free to use in any modpack — public or private, no permission needed.
What it does
- Double jump on boots — jump once more in the air; the charge resets when your feet touch the ground.
- Configurable levels —
levelBoostssets both how many levels exist and how strong each one is. - Anvil book upgrades — with
allowBookUpgrades, two equal books below the max make the next level at a fixed XP cost (anvilUpgradeExperienceCost, default 8). - Anvil max level — vanilla combining (book+book, item+book, item+item) no longer raises Double Jump above your configured maximum. Existing higher levels keep their level and jump like the top configured boost.
- Treasure books — optional chest loot for Double Jump books (chance, rolls, weights, loot tables — all configurable).
- Treasure-only mode —
treasureOnlyEnchantmentonly matters on 1.19.2 and 1.20.1. From 1.21 on the enchanting table never offers Double Jump anyway; the key stays so old configs keep working. - 10 languages built in.
Configuration
- Forge / NeoForge:
config/doublejumpenchant-server.toml - Fabric:
config/doublejumpenchant-server.json
Defaults (3 tiers, anvil upgrades on):
levelBoosts = [0.38, 0.47, 0.54]
allowBookUpgrades = true
anvilUpgradeExperienceCost = 8
treasureBooksEnabled = true
treasureBookChance = 0.12
treasureBookMinRolls = 1
treasureBookMaxRolls = 1
treasureBookLevelWeights = [6, 3, 1]
treasureOnlyEnchantment = false
Keys: levelBoosts, allowBookUpgrades, anvilUpgradeExperienceCost, treasureBooksEnabled, treasureBookChance, treasureBookMinRolls, treasureBookMaxRolls, treasureBookLevelWeights, treasureBookLootTables, treasureOnlyEnchantment.
Missing keys keep their defaults (important if you still have a Fabric file from 1.0.0).
Details
- The enchantment supports up to 10 levels in the jar — add or remove levels via
levelBoostswithout rebuilding. Survival follows that list; a command-granted level above it still jumps at the highest configured boost.
