Dreadfog (Evelite - Scary Edition)
Dreadfog turns your world into a dense, claustrophobic nightmare. Built on top of the Evelite pipeline, it strips out vibrant lighting and cozy ambiances in favor of choking low-altitude fog, crushed ambient light, and pitch-black nights.
Features & Visuals
- Suffocating Fog: A dense layer of low-hanging volumetric mist hugs the terrain, drastically cutting visibility and keeping you on edge.
- Pitch-Black Darkness: Ambient lighting is crushed. Underground caverns and nights are truly dark—torches, lanterns, and held lights are your only lifeline.
- Bleak Color Grading: Stripped of warm, cozy tones in favor of a cold, desaturated, high-contrast palette.
- Eerie Camera & Lighting: High-contrast dynamic shadows paired with subtle depth of field blur and dim celestial lighting.
- Distant Horizons Ready: Fully compatible with Distant Horizons LOD terrain rendering, keeping vast misty horizons smooth and visually cohesive.
Changelog (v1.0)
- Initial Release (Scary Edition)
- Reworked volumetric fog curves to stay low, dense, and close to the player.
- Crushed the ambient light baseline for pitch-black caves and night cycles.
- Adjusted tone mapping and color grading to a colder, muted color profile.
- Replaced normal sky visuals with bleak, overcast gradients.
- Preserved full Distant Horizons LOD rendering passes.
