📝 Description
TDSMP Translate uses the Azure Translator API to translate text from books, signs, chat, and even books on lecterns—all in real-time!
This is a modified version of TranslateOverlay by PlumelS.
⚠️ Required Dependencies
This is natively a Fabric mod. However, it has been configured to run on Forge 1.20.1 using a compatibility layer. For this mod to work without crashing, you must install the following dependencies in your mods folder:
- Sinytra Connector: The technical bridge that translates Fabric code to run on Forge.
- Forgified Fabric API: The essential port of Fabric API built specifically for this compatibility layer.
⚙️ Main Commands
Use these four primary commands to control your real-time translation settings:
/translator from auto-detect
Sets the source language you want to translate from./translator to [language_code]
Sets the target language you want to translate to./translator toggleChat
Toggles chat translation on or off./translator toggleItem
Toggles item translation on or off.
💡 Tip: If you do not know the correct code to use for your language, refer to the Wikipedia ISO 639 Language Codes List (Set 1).
🖥️ Server Setup & Configuration
If you want to use this translator on a multiplayer server, you must set up your own personal Azure Translator API keys. Once generated, add and modify the required credentials inside the mod's configuration file.
