This modpack aims to capture the feeling of vanilla Minecraft, while giving the player the freedom to explore the possibilities in whatever direction they like. Whether you're trying to master the arcane arts (Ars Nouveau), get in touch with nature (Hexerei), optimize production (Create), explore underground (Galosphere), explore magics that shouldn't be explored (Malum), or just make the coziest farm you can think of (Farmer's Delight), this pack aims to help tell the kind of story you're trying to tell!
That goal doesn't come without investment though, as while a lot of "default" quality of life features are included in this modpack (minimap, zoom, teleporting, etc), those perks ask you to either craft the required resources (Map Atlas, Spyglass, Glider) or to learn how the mods in this pack already solve those problems (teleporting for example is handled by Ars Nouveau) so they feel rewarding to obtain rather than just feeling convenient.
I also try my best to ship mods with as little customizations/tweaks as possible, as I personally like to provide as close to the "expected" experience as the developers intended, but there are some minor tweaks (mostly compatibility-related, but also disabling the auto-feeder from Sophisticated Backpacks felt necessary as this pack doesn't really benefit from taking away eating in the same way as some other packs would) to make the world feel more balanced and connected.
I've learned a bit about making custom resourcepacks and datapacks for this release, and the resulting compatibility layer can be found here: https://modrinth.com/datapack/uncharted-paths-compatibility-layer
As always, if there's any bugs/complaints/suggestions about this modpack, feel free to reach out at parrishpotato@zohomail.com!
And as a general disclaimer, I do not own any of the mods in this modpack, nor am I endorsed by any of the projects related to these mods/developers, I just really appreciate the work they put in and like to share the experiences they give me with the world!
