🧪 PotionSMP

PotionSMP is a Paper plugin that combines permanent, upgradeable potion effects with unique weapon abilities, passives and ultimates.

Players can collect and upgrade potion effects while unlocking powerful abilities for different weapons. Every weapon has its own playstyle, making PvP more strategic and giving players multiple ways to build their character.

🧪 Permanent Potion Effects

Craft special potions to unlock permanent effects.

Players can have up to 2 active potion effects

Effects can be upgraded to higher levels

Effects are saved when leaving the server

Potions can be withdrawn and managed

Potion recipes can be configured

Effect levels and other settings can be customized

This allows players to create different builds depending on which effects they choose.

PotionSMP includes unique abilities for:

Each weapon has its own Passive Ability and Ultimate Ability.

Passives provide special bonuses during normal combat, while ultimates must first be charged by completing weapon-specific combat requirements.

Use:

/ability

to activate a charged ultimate.

📖 Ability Information

Players can easily view how abilities work in-game.

/abilityinfo Shows information about your current ability.

/abilityinfo <weapon> Shows the passive, ultimate, charge requirement and cooldown for a specific weapon.

/abilityinfo all Shows all available weapon abilities.

⭐ Ability Examples

🏹 Bow

Use special Bow abilities and charge your ultimate to temporarily fire Homing Arrows that track visible targets.

🔱 Trident

Harness lightning and Tidal Wave abilities while using a specially balanced Trident with a custom attack speed.

Riptide is limited to level II for balancing.

🔨 Mace

Use slam attacks to charge the Mace Ultimate. Activating it temporarily improves the Mace with Wind Burst II and changes its combat capabilities.

🗡️ Spear

Use Spear abilities and charge its ultimate to temporarily gain Lunge III.

Outside the ultimate, Lunge is limited to level II.

🪓 Axe

Land critical hits to use the Axe passive and charge its powerful damage-focused ultimate.

🛡️ Shield

Blocking and disabling shields contributes toward defensive abilities, including temporary Resistance bonuses.

🥋 Armor

Gain special defensive abilities and summon Cave Spiders that fight alongside you during the Armor Ultimate.

⚖️ Designed for SMP PvP

PotionSMP includes balancing specifically designed around survival multiplayer.

This includes:

Custom ultimate charge requirements

Ultimate cooldowns

Weapon-specific balancing

Enchantment limits

Potion effect limits

Maximum of 2 active potion effects

Balanced weapon attack speeds

Configurable recipes and settings

The goal is to make abilities powerful without completely replacing normal Minecraft combat.

🔧 Configurable

Server owners can customize many parts of PotionSMP through the configuration files, including potion recipes, effect settings, cooldowns and ability values.

Server Software: Paper

Plugin Version: PotionSMP 1.0.0

Install the plugin by placing the PotionSMP .jar inside your server's plugins folder and restarting the server.

PotionSMP 1.0.0 is the first full public release of PotionSMP.
