Staff Utils gives your staff team the tools they actually need without turning your server into a bloated moderation suite.

Designed by Bad_0320, the plugin focuses on a fast staff workflow, a minimal interface, useful moderation utilities and support across multiple Minecraft generations.

Enter a dedicated moderation mode with a clean hotbar and protected staff tools.

Staff Mode:

  • saves the player's normal inventory
  • restores it when Staff Mode is disabled
  • provides saturation while active
  • prevents staff tools from being dropped or moved incorrectly
  • blocks unwanted vanilla behaviour from staff tools
  • removes temporary inspected items when required
  • keeps the layout minimal and easy to understand

👁️ Advanced Vanish

A practical vanish system built for moderation.

  • gray dye when Vanish is disabled
  • lime dye when Vanish is enabled
  • hidden from normal players
  • configurable permission to see vanished staff
  • prevents player collision while vanished
  • prevents vanished staff from hitting players
  • optional pickup prevention
  • silent join/leave behaviour while vanished

🎒 Inventory Inspection

InvSee

Inspect a player's inventory directly.

EnderSee

Inspect a player's Ender Chest.

While using Staff Mode, inspected items can be handled as temporary moderation items. Actions are logged, and temporary items are protected from normal use or accidental duplication.

🧭 Random Teleport

Jump directly to a random eligible online player from the Staff Mode hotbar.

Players with the exemption permission are ignored by Random TP.

⭐ GodMode

Toggle damage immunity from either the command or the Staff Mode item.

🕵️ SocialSpy

Monitor supported private-message commands.

/spy

Enables global private-message monitoring.

/spy <player>

Only monitors private messages involving that player.

Run /spy again to disable Spy.

Supported aliases can be configured and include common commands such as:

/tell
/w
/whisper
/pm
/message
/dm

Namespaced variants are handled as well.

🚨 Reports

Players can report rule breakers while staff members receive and manage reports.

Useful for tracking staff activity and reviewing moderation actions.

⚙️ Modern Storage

The 26.x edition supports a proper multi-server architecture:

  • MariaDB as persistent multi-server storage
  • Redis Pub/Sub for instant synchronization
  • SQLite fallback when multi-server storage is unavailable or disabled
  • asynchronous database/network operations
  • Paper/Folia-aware scheduling

The plugin automatically falls back to local storage instead of crashing when multi-server services are unavailable.

🧩 Version Support

Staff Utils uses separate optimized builds instead of pretending one jar works perfectly everywhere.

Available branches cover:

1.8.x → 1.9.x → 1.10.x → 1.11.x → 1.12.x → 1.13.x → 1.14.x → 1.15.x → 1.16.x → 1.17.x → 1.18.x → 1.19.x → 1.20.x → 1.21.x → 26.x

The newest edition targets Paper/Folia 26.x.

Features can vary slightly between legacy and modern builds because the Minecraft server API changed heavily across these versions.

📦 Installation

  1. Download the correct Staff Utils build for your Minecraft version.
  2. Put the .jar inside your server's plugins folder.
  3. Restart the server.
  4. Configure permissions with your permission plugin.
  5. Edit config.yml if needed.
  6. Restart or reload Staff Utils.

For the modern multi-server setup, configure MariaDB and Redis in config.yml.
