A brand-new fan remake featuring multiple themed rooms - theater, gallery, museum, and more. The adventure awaits!

A fan-made rework of Thornborn Towers from When Dungeons Arise.

Available as an override datapack and a data-only NeoForge mod. Both replace DDA's thornborn_towers structure templates and chest loot with a reworked, cleaned-up version.

What's included

  • Larger Volume - Brand new building twice as big as the original ones allowing more stuffs
  • Themed rooms - a grand Theater, a Gallery with 42 paintings, a Museum, and more themed rooms waiting to explore
  • Better Loots - More and better loots are placed in this building

Requirements

Mod Needed for

Create structure blocks + loot

Quark structure blocks + entities
Functional Armor Trims optional - one armor stand carries its "thorns" attribute

Moonlight Lib and Polymorph are required by the mod above.

Installation

As a mod (NeoForge 1.21.1)

  1. Install the required mods above.
  2. Drop the NeoForge jar in mods/.

As a datapack

  1. Install the required mods above.
  2. Place the pack in your world's datapacks folder, after When Dungeons Arise (it is an override pack).
  3. Enable the datapack through commands.

Structures do not retro-generate - travel to a newly generated region after installing.

Known Issues

  • Paintings larger than 1x1 in the Gallery may be offset by 1-2 blocks after the structure generates; 1x1 paintings are unaffected. This is vanilla 1.21.1 placement behavior for multi-block painting entities inside structures (world-space TileX/Y/Z re-attachment), not a datapack bug.
  • Without Ice and Fire installed, a few armor stands log a harmless warning about unknown attachment data (though they still work normally).
