Put this pack in both your datapack and resource pack folders!
This datapack adds 3 new Origins based around supporting the players around you. Each Origin approaches support in a completely different way, with unique abilities, weaknesses, visuals, sounds, and advancements.
These Origins were designed with multiplayer in mind, but can still be enjoyed in singleplayer.
Each Origin also comes with its own set of advancements, ranging from small challenges to difficult and secret achievements.
š¢ Groved
A being made of flora, protective and a natural helper.
Groved is a group-focused support Origin built around healing, protecting life, and bringing nature wherever they go.
PRIMARY: Nature's Embrace
- Heal nearby allies for 2.5 hearts.
- Holding certain flowers, mushrooms, or fungi will consume them and grant additional effects to nearby players.
- Cooldown of 30 seconds.
SECONDARY: Life Blessing
- Toggle this ability on and off.
- While active, nearby plants are continuously encouraged to grow within a 4 block radius.
TERNARY: Sanctuary Bloom
- Summon a large cylindrical Sanctuary around yourself.
- Press the ability again to dismiss it early.
- The Sanctuary can remain active for up to 45 seconds.
- Its resource recharges slowly in shade and twice as quickly in sunlight.
- Entities inside become slightly translucent and take 25% less damage.
- Certain passive creatures inside heal 1 HP every 4 seconds.
- Breedable creatures have their breeding cooldown reduced to 10 seconds.
- Projectiles striking the Sanctuary's walls are reflected, with many losing speed each time they bounce.
PASSIVE [+]: Photosynthesis
- Slowly regenerate health while standing in direct sunlight.
PASSIVE [-]: Flora Fragility
- Take 25% more fire damage.
- Become slower in cold biomes.
PASSIVE [-]: Vegetarian
- You cannot eat meat and must survive on plant-based foods.
š”š” α-02
An abandoned automaton created years ago, built to help and serve during a time of peace.
α-02 is a mobile utility Origin: part workshop, part machine, and part very questionable piece of ancient engineering.
PASSIVE [=]: Internal Batteries
- You do not eat like an organic creature.
- Your hunger bar is replaced with an Energy meter.
- You have 20 total Energy.
- You have no saturation and accumulate exhaustion faster than a normal player.
PRIMARY: Fabrication
- Access a crafting interface anywhere.
- Costs 2 Energy.
SECONDARY: Storage Matrix
- Access a personal 3Ć3 storage unit.
- Items stored inside are retained through death.
- Costs no Energy.
TERNARY: Thermal Converter
- Smelt items directly from your main hand.
- Cooldown of 15 seconds per smelt.
- Costs 4 Energy.
QUATERNARY: Seismic Ping
- Send out a seismic pulse that reveals nearby ores in expanding waves.
- Ores glow as the scan reaches them.
- Cooldown of 1 minute.
- Costs 7 Energy.
QUINARY: Winch
- Launch a mechanical rope up to 64 blocks above you.
- Hold Jump to retract the rope and pull yourself upward.
- Hold Sneak to extend it.
- Toggle the ability again to detach.
- Costs 5 Energy, but requires at least 6 Energy to activate.
PASSIVE [+]: Solar Panels
- Recharge 1 Energy every 5 seconds in direct sunlight.
- In sufficient ambient light without direct sunlight, recharge 1 Energy every 15 seconds.
PASSIVE [+]: Power Hungry
- Eat Redstone Dust to restore 2 Energy.
PASSIVE [+]: Self Repair
- While at or above 10 Energy, slowly repair yourself at roughly 0.5 hearts every 1.75 seconds.
PASSIVE [+]: Iron Clad
- Gain 5 additional armor points.
PASSIVE [+]: Passenger Chassis
- Other players can ride on you.
PASSIVE [=]: Compact
- You are 25% smaller than a normal player.
PASSIVE [=]: Machine
- As an inorganic machine, you do not naturally regenerate or suffer insomnia.
- You are immune to most health and hunger-related potion effects.
PASSIVE [-]: Short Circuit
- Being submerged in water damages your circuitry.
- Rain is harmless.
PASSIVE [-]: Power Saving Mode
- At 0 Energy, you lose the ability to interact with blocks.
- Movement speed is reduced by 60%.
š“š“š“ Soul Weaver
An old and protective soul trapped in the land of the living.
The Soul Weaver is a backline support Origin whose power grows as more souls become woven into its tapestry. New abilities, Strands, and stronger effects are unlocked as additional bonds are formed.
A Soul Weaver may have up to 5 woven souls.
PASSIVE [=]: Woven Bond
- Form permanent bonds with other players.
- Woven souls remain linked even when they disconnect.
- Woven souls may type "Unlink" in chat at any time to sever their own bond, even if their Soul Weaver is offline.
- Woven souls are outlined for their Weaver.
- The number of woven souls determines the strength of several passive bonuses.
- Woven bonuses include improvements such as movement and mining speed.
- You cannot weave another Soul Weaver or somebody already bound to another Weaver.
PASSIVE [=]: Strands
- Switch between different Strands using your Primary and Secondary ability keys.
- Each Strand changes the passive power flowing through you.
- You begin with Renewal, Warding, and Fervor.
- More Strands unlock as additional souls are woven.
Strands
Renewal
- Slowly restores health.
- Regeneration becomes faster as more souls are woven.
Warding
- Reduces incoming damage.
- Damage reduction becomes stronger with additional woven souls.
Fervor
- Increases attack speed and damage.
- Both bonuses grow stronger with additional woven souls.
Force
- Unlocks with at least 2 woven souls.
- Increases knockback dealt, scaling with your number of bonds.
- Right-click with an empty hand to release a delayed shockwave that pushes nearby entities away.
- Woven souls are unaffected by the shockwave.
Resolve
- Unlocks with at least 4 woven souls.
- Increases knockback resistance.
- Reduces the duration of harmful status effects.
- Both effects improve with additional woven souls.
TERNARY: Echo Sight
- Unlocks with at least 1 woven soul.
- Reveal living entities around you with a glow visible only to you.
- Detection range increases with your number of woven souls, reaching 64 blocks at 5 links.
- Undead creatures and nonliving entities are not revealed.
QUATERNARY: Soul Recall
- Unlocks with at least 1 woven soul.
- Look toward a woven soul and activate to teleport them to you.
- Sneak while activating to teleport yourself to them instead.
- Has infinite range within the same dimension.
- At 1 link, cooldown is 20 seconds.
- With at least 2 links, cooldown is reduced to 10 seconds.
HOLDING QUATERNARY: Mass Recall
- Unlocks with at least 2 woven souls.
- Hold the Soul Recall key to begin a short windup.
- When completed, all woven souls are recalled to you, even across dimensions.
- Shares its cooldown with Soul Recall.
QUINARY: Soul Cleanse
- Unlocks with at least 2 woven souls.
- Remove status effects from your woven souls.
- Grants Regeneration IV for 5 seconds and Absorption for 15 seconds.
- Cooldown of 1 minute.
SENARY: Resonant Strand
- Unlocks with at least 3 woven souls.
- Select a woven soul within 100 blocks and resonate with them.
- Your currently selected Strand is shared with that soul at full strength.
- Only one woven soul may resonate with you at a time.
- Resonance breaks if either player disconnects, changes dimension, or moves too far away.
SEPTENARY: Veil of the Beyond
- Unlocks with at least 3 woven souls.
- Become completely invisible and dramatically faster.
- Phase through many non-solid and non-light-blocking blocks.
- While Veiled, you cannot normally interact with the world.
- Veil has a limited duration and must recharge after use.
OCTONARY: Unravel
- Unlocks with at least 4 woven souls.
- After a brief delay, fire a piercing projectile from your soul lantern.
- The projectile deals damage and marks every entity it passes through.
- Marked entities become outlined in deep blue for you and your woven souls.
- Marks last 6 seconds.
- While marked, targets take 15% increased damage from all sources.
NONARY: Guardian Weaver
- Unlocks with 5 woven souls.
- Select one woven soul to guard.
- Every third hit against the guarded soul is redirected to the Soul Weaver.
- Guardian persists across dimensions, but ends if either player leaves the world.
- A soul cannot be both Guarded and Resonating at the same time.
- If the guarded soul would die, their death is prevented and their bond to the Weaver is severed.
- Saving a soul heavily debilitates the Weaver and begins a 1 hour cooldown.
PASSIVE [=]: Fractured Weaver
- Death does not immediately return you to normal life.
- You instead respawn temporarily as a Fractured Weaver.
- While fractured, you cannot interact with the world, and the world cannot interact with you.
- After the fracture timer expires, you reform as a Soul Weaver.
- Base fracture duration: 1.5 minutes.
- Having a Lantern upon death reduces it to 50 seconds.
- Having a Soul Lantern reduces it to 25 seconds.
PASSIVE [+]: Light Soul
- You take no fall damage.
- You naturally drift downward instead of falling normally.
- You cannot sleep, but may still set your spawn point.
- You do not gain insomnia.
- You emit light level 15 when using LambDynamicLights.
PASSIVE [=]: Soul Physiology
- You neither hunger nor exhaust and cannot naturally regenerate.
- Fire cannot harm you and lava deals 50% less damage.
- Experience clings more readily to your spirit, granting 50% more experience from experience orbs.
- Water, rain, snow, and even snowballs damage your exposed spirit.
PASSIVE [+]: Soul Speed
- Move 70% faster across Soul Sand and Soul Soil.
PASSIVE [+]: Soul Transmutation
- Combine Soul Sand or Soul Soil with certain items in a crafting grid to create their soul-infused counterparts.
PASSIVE [-]: Fragmented Shell
- You have 2 fewer hearts.
- You deal 40% less damage.
- Hunger, Saturation, and Poison can still affect your fragmented form.
PASSIVE [-]: Unwieldy
- You cannot use shields.
PASSIVE [-]: Spectral Vulnerabilities
- Total armor effectiveness is reduced by 10%.
- You take 30% increased magic damage.
SOUL LANTERN
- A Soul Lantern follows the Weaver as a visual representation of the spirit anchoring them to the living world.
- It dynamically moves around obstacles, changes shoulders as you turn, and settles near the ground while you remain idle.
- The lantern is primarily visual and lore-focused rather than a separate ability system.
