At first, this was a simple resource pack that only changed vanilla copper blocks and items to make them shinier/cleaner/smoother and to better match with Create mod style.
As of Minecraft version 1.21.1 and Create mod 6.0.0, the Create mod copper has also the color palette of vanilla Minecraft, so I decided to also tweak a little bit the color palette. So copper is bright and shiny like the Create mod, exposed copper has a rougher yellow-brown color, weathered is more green and softer, and the oxidized is like vanilla copper but with two drops more of saturation, almost imperceptible, but it looks better.
Create is one of my favorite mods, I use it all the time, and for versions 1.20.1 and earlier the copper from this mod was shinier, more saturated and stylized, instead of the vanilla copper that looks dull and ugly. That's why for versions 1.20.1 and earlier I only changed vanilla copper, to match with the mod. And for versions 1.21.1 and later I have done my own copper color palette, mixing the old Create mod and vanilla Minecraft.
(Versions 1.20.1 and earlier) Why not use the mod's built-in legacy copper texture?
Create already has a built-in resource pack changing the copper ingot and blocks, but doesn't change the raw and ore version, and I also don't like the retexture from the blocks. So I made my own pack, with retextured blocks and the new raw and ore version, and mixed the color palette and style from Create Mod but more vanilla like.
(Versions 1.21.1 and laterr) Why not use other resource packs that returns old Create copper?
This resource pack, unlike other resource pack, does not directly use the old texture from the Create mod, but uses the new textures but with the new color palette.
Does this also work without the mod?
YES! For versions 1.20.1 and earlier only vanilla copper is changed to match the style with Create mod. For versions 1.21.1 and later all modded & vanilla copper is changed with my new color palette.
Is this really necessary?
MAYBE? (Versions 1.20.1 and earlier) I know this is a very small and maybe unnecessary resource pack, but this mod is almost vanilla for me, and it bothers me when the copper from the mod and vanilla ingots and blocks look different. (Versions 1.21.1 and later) Now Create mod & vanilla have the same copper color palette, but it is horrendous, so this resource pack is even more essential for me.
What versions do I use?
For versions 0.1 & 0.2 only vanilla blocks are changed and have the old Create mod color palette. For versions 0.3 and later, I will be using my new color palette for vanilla & every mod that I use.
