Lad's 3D Rails & Ladders adds exactly that with optimized block models, no stretched sloped rails, few compromises, a simplistic approach, and pixel perfection. A lot of tedious math was used to make everything align as much as possible. It also includes a 3D version of the curved rail texture from LavidaCraft.

Further optimized block models are being investigated at this time. Current tests have stitching issues in 1.21.10, but show much fewer issues in the latest snapshot (as of November 10, 2025). Current attempts have resulted in a face reduction from 36 faces to 20 on the normal rail model, and 165 to 115 on the rail corner model. Graphical artifacts in 1.21.10 are bad enough that I don't think I'll push these changes until the next Minecraft update.

Permissions

You may:

  • Modify this pack for personal use
  • Create and publish modified versions (preferably add me as a member of the project, but this is not required)
  • Include this project in modpacks uploaded to Modrinth

You may not:

  • Reupload or redistribute this pack as a whole in unmodified form. You must at least modify one asset in a visible way.
About Updates

I usually only test pack updates on the latest version of Minecraft. Resource packs are almost always backwards and forwards compatible. If you experience any issues or if the pack doesn't work, please report it to me.
