Blue Mic's Moves
Bold, smooth player animations for Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric). Your character stops standing around like a statue and starts moving like a person: breathing, looking around, stretching, leaning into a sprint, hunching on impact.
It works with any skin (Steve, Alex or custom), armor, and held items. No new models, just animation.
✨ What's animated
| State | What you'll see |
|---|---|
| Idle | Chest breathes, body rises and falls, arms drift, weight shifts, head wanders |
| Idle (7–11 s) | Looks around, with the head sweeping left and right |
| Idle (15–20 s) | A big stretch: arms overhead, head tips back, back arches |
| Walk | Torso twists against the arms, hip sway, forward lean, bigger arm swing, head bob, a bounce on every step |
| Sprint | Harder lean, arms pump forward, bigger twist, higher bounce |
| Strafe / Backpedal | Body and head lean into the direction you're moving |
| Sneak | Deeper breathing, arms tucked in, sneak-walk sway |
| Jump | Arms swing up, legs stride out |
| Fall | Arms flail and alternate, body tips forward, legs splay |
| Landing | Hunches on impact (harder falls hunch deeper), arms reach forward |
| Climbing | Hand-over-hand ladder and vine climbing that stops when you stop |
| Water | Treading water with arm sculling and a flutter kick, plus a swimming body roll |
| Elytra | Arms spread and sway, legs flutter with speed |
| Riding | The rider leans and bobs with the mount's speed |
| Attack | Torso whips through the swing, lunges forward, legs step into it |
| Hurt | Head snaps back, torso recoils, arms fling out |
| Low health | Below ~4 hearts you hunch, limp and breathe heavily |
Every state blends smoothly in and out, and rotations are hard-limited so nothing bends wrong.
📦 Requirements
- Fabric with Minecraft 26.3
- Entity Model Features (EMF) required
- Entity Texture Features (ETF) required (EMF depends on it)
- Fabric API
🔧 Installation
- Install Fabric, EMF, ETF and Fabric API.
- Drop the
.zipinto yourresourcepacksfolder (don't unzip it). - Enable it in Options → Resource Packs.
- Keep it above any other pack that changes the player model.
✅ Compatibility
- Works with every skin, slim or wide, and with armor, elytra, shields, bows, tools and food.
- Your own first-person hand is left completely vanilla.
- Uses the vanilla player model. It adds no custom geometry and only animates the game's own parts.
- Won't stack with other packs that ship their own
player.jem. Only one can win, so put this one on top.
⚙️ Customizing
Everything lives in one file, assets/minecraft/optifine/cem/player.jem. Open it in any text editor.
Each line is one animation channel, so you can delete a line to disable that effect or change the numbers to make it stronger or weaker. Press F3 + T to reload.
var.bob: step bounce height (set to"0"to disable)var.ibob: idle breathing rise and fallbody.ry: torso twist while walking and sprintingbody.rx: forward lean
❓ FAQ
It doesn't do anything. Make sure both EMF and ETF are installed and this pack is enabled and at the top of the list.
No sprint effects. Sprint effects rely on EMF reporting the sprint state for players. If yours doesn't, every other animation still works.
The bounce looks wrong.
Set var.bob and var.ibob to "0" in the .jem file. Everything else is unaffected.
Two bodies / doubled limbs. Another resource pack above this one is also replacing the player model.
Can I put it in a modpack? Yes, free to use, modify and include in modpacks. A link back is appreciated.
