🫧 Clean Mode
Less in the way. Same Minecraft.
Clean Mode doesn't redraw your game. It takes the vanilla textures that cover your screen and makes them see-through, so you can keep an eye on your world while you play.
What changes
| Vanilla | Clean Mode | |
|---|---|---|
| 🪟 Menus | Solid gray panels | Glass-like panels you can see through |
| 💧 Water | Deep, opaque blue | Lighter and clearer, so you can see the bottom |
| 🛡️ Shield & Totem | Cover part of your screen | 50% transparent in first person |
🪟 Menus you can see through
Your world stays visible behind every container screen:
- Inventory, crafting table, chests, shulker boxes, furnaces, smokers and blast furnaces
- Villager trading, anvil, enchanting table, beacon, brewing stand, loom, stonecutter, smithing table and more
- Creative inventory, recipe book and the advancements window
- Buttons, sliders and tabs are slightly transparent too
- Lighter backdrop behind menus and lists
Slot borders stay sharp and item icons keep their full color, so everything stays easy to read.
💧 Clearer water
- Lower opacity so lakes, rivers and oceans show what's underneath
- A lighter shade that still follows each biome's water color
- Wave highlights are kept, so the water doesn't look flat
- A softer blue tint when your head is underwater
🛡️ A shield and totem that don't block your view
- The Shield and Totem of Undying are 50% transparent in first person, in either hand and while blocking
- In your inventory, on the ground, in item frames and in third person they look exactly like vanilla
- Shields with a banner design stay solid so the pattern still shows
Installation
- Download the
.zipfile. Don't unzip it. - In Minecraft, go to Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder and drop the file in.
- Enable Clean Mode. If another pack also changes the GUI, move Clean Mode above it.
FAQ
Does it change the look of the textures? No. Every texture starts from the vanilla original. Only the transparency (and the water's brightness) changes.
Does it work on servers? Yes. It's a resource pack, so it only changes what you see on your own screen.
Can it make underwater fog clearer? No. How far you can see underwater is set by the game's biome data, which a resource pack can't change.
The world behind menus looks blurry. That's the game's menu blur, not the pack. Lower Menu Background Blurriness in the options to see your world clearly.
