CobbleThemes Resource Pack Template
A ready-to-edit starting point for making your own CobbleThemes resource pack.
This template is the mod's basic profile, exported as a resource pack: every block, group and condition of the original mod, written out in full so you can see exactly how it works and change whatever you want.
⚠️ This pack doesn't add any music. It only reproduces the basic profile's conditions and uses the themes already included in CobbleThemes.
What's inside ?
profile.json: the full basic profile (blocks, groups, conditions and themes)hierarchy.json: the order in which the blocks are readsounds.jsonand an emptysounds/themes/folder, ready for your own musicREADME.md: a complete guide to writing a pack by hand, with every label and every vanilla biome you can use in a condition
How to use it ?
The easy way: the in-game editor (recommended)
- Drop the
.zipinto yourresourcepacksfolder. - Open Mod Menu → CobbleThemes → Configure: the template shows up as a profile with a little file icon.
- Edit it like any other profile: reorder blocks, change groups, add conditions, try your changes with "Which theme plays?".
- Click Export to save your own resource pack, ready to share.
Changes made in game are saved in your config folder, never inside the pack itself: exporting is what turns them into a new pack.
The manual way
Unzip the template, edit profile.json and hierarchy.json with any text editor, then zip it back. The included README explains every field, condition and option.
Adding your own music !
- Put your
.oggfiles (Ogg Vorbis) inassets/cobblethemes/sounds/themes/. - Declare them in
assets/cobblethemes/sounds.json. - Use them as themes in your groups.
Want an intro before the loop? Add a file ending in _intro next to it (charizard.ogg + charizard_intro.ogg).
Good to know :
- Selected in Minecraft's resource pack menu, the pack forces its profile until you turn it off. Simply left in the
resourcepacksfolder, it's just one more profile to pick from. - The template is not locked: you can edit it freely in game.
- Requires CobbleThemes 1.0.0 or later, and Mod Menu to open the editor.
