Anime-themed Crystal PvP pack: animated custom sky, clean low-clutter GUI and HUD, smaller first-person items so more of the screen stays visible, and retextured weapons, armour and combat items. 16x, for Minecraft 1.21.9 - 1.21.11.
Description
Mai Anime CPvP Pack
A 16x pack that gives Minecraft an anime look without getting in the way of a fight. The GUI is cleaned up, the items you hold sit lower and smaller on screen, and the sky is replaced with an animated one that changes between day and night.
Built around Crystal PvP, so the things that decide a fight - totems, pearls, crystals, armour - are the things that got the most attention.
What it changes
The sky. A custom two-layer sky that rotates slowly and swaps itself over the day. A bright cloud sky fades in around sunrise and out again in the evening; a starfield takes over through the night. This is an OptiFine-format sky, see Requirements below.
Items in your hand. Held items are drawn smaller and lower than in vanilla, in both first and third person. Swords, tools, the bow, the crossbow, the trident, the fishing rod and the shield all got their own positions. Less of your screen is covered by your own hand, which is the whole point in a crystal fight.
Combat gear. Full retextures of every tool and weapon tier - wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond - plus the bow with all three draw stages, arrows, the fishing rod, shears and the fire charge.
Armour. New textures for leather, iron, gold and diamond, both layers, so they read clearly on a player at a distance.
The items a crystal fight runs on. Totem of undying, ender pearls, golden apples and buckets are all redrawn to be recognisable at a glance in a full hotbar.
Animated textures. Water, fire, and the ingots and gems (diamond, emerald, gold, iron) shimmer rather than sitting still.
Blocks. Diamond and gold blocks, diamond ore, TNT, the enchanting table, the jukebox, the note block, fire and water.
The whole interface. Purple and pastel, with see-through slots so you can read your inventory faster. Every container is covered: inventory, crafting, anvil, enchanting table, furnace, blast furnace, smoker, brewing stand, beacon, loom, smithing table, stonecutter, grindstone, cartography table, crafter, hopper, dispenser, shulker box, horse and villager. Buttons, sliders, checkboxes and scrollbars are restyled too, along with the hotbar, the selection box, the offhand slots, the potion effect backgrounds, the recipe book, the gamemode switcher and the server list.
Why use it
- It does not cost frames. Nearly everything is 16x, the same resolution as vanilla. This is a visual pack, not a high-resolution one.
- Less clutter while fighting. Smaller held items, see-through slots and a plain hotbar mean fewer pixels between you and what you are trying to hit.
- Consistent. GUI, items, armour and sky are one look rather than a folder of unrelated textures.
- It is a complete pack. Every container screen is done, not just the inventory, so nothing jumps back to vanilla halfway through a session.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.9, 1.21.10 or 1.21.11. Older versions will refuse to load the pack.
- The sky needs OptiFine or a mod that reads OptiFine skies. The sky is stored in the OptiFine custom sky format. On plain vanilla everything else in the pack still works and you simply keep the normal sky. On Fabric, a mod such as FabricSkyBoxes or Skyloom will read it.
