Magic Ores

Magic Ores gives every ore and mineral block a subtle 3D shape — small rock-like protrusions scattered across each face — without the bulky, oversized look some "3D ore" packs have. The geometry is toned down on purpose so it still feels like vanilla Minecraft, just a little more alive.

The pack ships no textures of its own. It only carries the custom block models. That means it needs another texture pack (or vanilla itself) loaded below it in your resource pack list to supply the actual images — Magic Ores just reshapes whatever texture ends up on each block. Load it above your favorite texture pack (or above nothing, for vanilla textures) and it'll adopt that pack's colors automatically.

Drop it into your resourcepacks folder (Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder). In the Resource Packs menu, move Magic Ores near the top of your Selected list, and make sure a texture pack (or nothing, for vanilla) is active below it. Created by Dymitryon. The general idea of adding small protrusions to a base cube was inspired by the "zk_rock" model style used in CesarZorak's Fantasy Ores pack — this pack's geometry, proportions, rotations, texture-inheritance setup and block list are an original, independently-built remix, not a copy or redistribution of Fantasy Ores or any of its files.
