🌊 Minecraft Localization Fix MC-195467
Have you ever died in a strange water-related accident in Minecraft 1.20.1 to 26.2, only to see a strange, raw code string like death.fell.accident.water flood your chat box?
This lightweight, vanilla-friendly resource pack permanently resolves that immersion-breaking text bug by mapping the missing translation entry directly back into the game.
🔍 The Problem Explained
In Minecraft 1.20.1 to 26.2, Mojang introduced internal code hooks for tracking specific fall-damage vectors involving fluid sources. However, they accidentally omitted the localization mapping for English (and several other language files).
When a player falls from a high altitude, clips the edge of a water block, and dies from the impact, the engine cannot find the proper sentence structure. Instead of a clean death message, it dumps the raw code string directly into the public server or singleplayer chat.
✨ The Fix
This resource pack seamlessly supplements the vanilla game files by injecting the missing translation node. No code overrides, mods, or complex configurations are required.
- ❌ Without this pack:
death.fell.accident.water - With this pack:
Alex fell out of the water
🛠️ Performance & Compatibility
- 100% Client-Side: Works perfectly on singleplayer worlds, Realms, and massive multiplayer servers without requiring server-side adjustments.
- Zero Performance Impact: Uses the native vanilla JSON localization engine, meaning it consumes 0MB of extra RAM or processing power.
- Mod Compatibility: Fits seamlessly alongside larger UI or texture revamps (just place this pack at the top of your Active Resource Packs list to ensure priority mapping).
📦 Manual Installation (If not using the Modrinth App)
