Ozocraft 1.21+ Update [September 1, 2025]
Essentially this pack is the one I'm running personally, with whatever updates, changes etc I've done over time. Will continue updating and fixing as I run into the issues on my end. Pack should still work with 1.21.8 + though missing items that are added in the game will be replaced with defaults. Overall, the experience should still be a majority pack that still gets the job done. I'm currently running it on 1.21.7 with no obvious issues. Your milage may vary if you're running on 1.21.8 or 1.21.9 etc.
Known Fixes
- Fixed Records (Added new ones like Chicken Jockey etc)
- Fixed Horse Armors
- Adjusted Iron Trapdoor Item in Inventory View
- Pretty sure I included Copper items and Armor (don't quote me on this)
- Included a Netherite Horse Armor just in case Mojang finds parity on this later
- Biome Specific Animals have been fixed (apparently). I don't see any weirdness with them.
As always, Fresh Animations will work but may cause conflicts with certain textures or applications. If you're running Fresh Animations and you see a janked up mob or something, disable Fresh Animations in Resource Packs and see if that was the issue first.
Known But Unfixed
Armor Trims
Sometimes the second layer of the helmet may cover up intended armor trims (Warden etc). The armor trim is still applied, but seems to be under the second layer. I'm leaning toward not fixing that because it's a minor thing, and also don't want to nerf the custom armor designs for trim. Otherwise, trims seem to work fine.
Clock Is "Wrong"
Apparently Mojang changed how the clock displays in each frame, and I haven't managed to figure it out precisely. I've reworked the clock to be about as accurate as the actual original one - which is to say: It's in the ballpark of the time, but if you have an actual in game clock (like on Xero's Minimap) it'll prolly be about an hour off compared to actual time. Still - it's good for "is it day or night" like the original clock was meant to be.
Copper Items & Armor
I do have them in the pack somewhere, but my ADHD keeps debating whether I put them in the right folders or not to show up. Mojang seems to have made some significant changes to folder hierarchy and naming of certain files, so it might take me a bit to get a grip on it.
MY LITTLE PONY UPDATE
Changes to the pack.mcmeta to allow for Minecraft to see it as compatible in a range instead of only 1.21 singular. The latest is the same as [R7] Otherwise but is the preferred download for 1.21+ (ie: should be fine going upward now. Anything missing will be filled in by the defaults). It may now work as far back as 1.20 but I haven't gone back that far to try it.
This includes the fixes to Horse Armors and whatever fiddly bits I've been tweaking in the pack but probably forgot I fixed (Like fixing the Enderman texture). Special thanks to Texturepacks for DMing me and letting me know the mcdata format to do this.
If anyone knows how to adjust the direction items face in inventory and item frames, please DM me and let me know (or hit me up on Discord - aeonixaeon). The stairs are driving me crazy, and I really want to adjust how the Daylight Sensor (and slabs) face in Item Frames but I have no idea how.
Horse Armor icons are modified MYTHIC - color adjusted because apparently MYTHIC thinks Gold looks orange (like Copper). Colors for Ozocraft Remix armors themselves are reworked for two tone and different blanket colors. Leather Armor for horses is now able to be dyed properly.
As a result, Gold Armor actually looks good on a horse... So ya know, try them out. White Dyed Leather armor on a horse looks like a Skeleton horse if your horse is black.
I also think the Villager Trade interface is added as well (Based on MYTHIC, except MYTHIC doesn't seem to have a Villager Trade Interface, so I patched it together myself). Optifine specific enhancements (animated textures, emissive, and so on) are now apparently compatible with related Fabric counterparts so IRIS, SODIUM, etc should work.
- CitResewn
- FabricSkyboxes
- Indium
- IRIS
- Sodium
- Lithium
I still do suggest the following additional Mods for a similar experience as to what I'm running for Ozocraft Remix locally:
- JEI
- Xaero's Minimap
- Xaero's Worldmap
- Distant Horizons (For real though, this mod is pure witchcraft)
See the Images section for a Snapshot of my Mods folder Happy Holidays everyone :)
And as always - Solidarity through better napping
- Temp Fixed three stairs not being isometric. Will look into further fixes later to make them all consistent. For now, it's less "ugly".
- Updated to 1.21
- Fixed the Bat (again)
- Other Misc Tweaks
- Updated Interface (1.20.4+)
- Fixed the Bat (again)
