Warning! This pack requires optifine or an optifine style custom item textures mod! Although it may technically work without, it is not recommended and many features are lost!
Cards Pack
The cards pack adds the full deck of cards, two jokers, four suits, with numbers 2 through 10, and an ace, jack, king, and queen. It also adds a box to put them in :)
Shuffle Pack
This pack is exclusively for shuffling and dealing cards, it turns letters into a playing card symbol to make it impossible to tell them apart via their name, and changes every card to have a “Loading” texture to do the same for the model.
How to use
- Components, for a full deck and box, you’ll need 54 pieces of paper, and bundle
- Renaming, all cards use a two letter code to differentiate themselves, this code is made up of the suit and the denomination. Suits are C for clubs, D for diamonds, H for hearts, and S for spades. The denominations have ace as 1, then 2 through 9, then X for 10, the face cards are just their first character (J for jack, Q for queen, and K for king). To put this all together, here are some examples, an 8 of hearts would be “H8”, while an ace of diamonds is D1, a ten of clubs is “CX”, and a queen of spades is SQ. Finally, the jokers are “JB” and “JR”.
- Storage, getting a box for them is as simple as renaming a bundle to “Cards”.
- Playing, a fair number of games should work. The cards themselves allow for a few different options shown by the gallery. When held in the main hand, cards are hidden from others' view. While in the off hand, a card is displayed to others. Dropping a card puts it face down, making it easy to pass cards between players. And placing a card in an item frame makes it easy to see for all.
Shuffling
Shuffling requires the use of the “Shuffling” pack, this should be loaded on top of the cards pack. As mentioned before, when loaded this pack changes the font to make all characters in the alphabet a playing card symbol, along with changing the texture of the cards. This pack really, really should only be used for shuffling, as a lot of text gets impossible to read. For ease of use the necessary menu buttons have been renamed "HERE!" and "BACK".
For actually shuffling, throwing cards randomly, picking them up while using the card box to store them when you can’t carry anymore, and repeating this a few times should get the job done.
