Version 3.0, AKA "Mod-Free Vanilla" update
Starting with this release, the VoodooDoll CIT edition has been discontinued and replaced by Vanilla Custom edition. No more mods required, the resource pack works fully vanilla now. That's thanks to Mojang introducing a similar feature in 1.21.5. LambDynamicLights remains optional.
Fixes
The issue with Vanilla Wide/Slim editions not working on older version has been addressed, by adding a separate release for those versions. The pack should also now support versions as old as 1.11.0. There also have been some minor bug fixes done to the 3D models, which should cause less errors in general.
How to update
If you're updating from version 2.0 of Vanilla Wide/Slim, and you plan on playing Minecraft 1.11-1.12.2, then the best way is to start from scratch, as there have been too many changes to account for. If you're playing on Minecraft version 1.13 or newer, you mostly need to update the totem_of_undying.json
to that from version 3.0, however the difference isn't very noticeable, so you may as well continue using version 2.0.
Version 2.0, AKA "I'm too scared, I need my plushie" update
The doll is now a dynamic source of light, with light strength of 7 blocks (same as redstone torch, glow lichen, enchanting table, or ender chest), supporting both LambDynamicLights and RyoamicLights mods. Just to keep you safe even more :3
How to update
There were no other changes to the resource pack. To update from version 1.0, simply copy the dynamiclights
folder and paste it to the exact same location inside your resource pack.
