A highly configurable corpse mod/datapack that adds lootable corpses where the player died, allowing them to retrieve their items whenever

Adds hostile wolves in the form of Wolf Attacks as well as Wolf Dens where you can obtain horns that buff your tamed wolves and wolf teeth to repair them or craft tooth traps
