What is Dieselpunk?

Dieselpunk is a retrofuturistic variant of the Steampunk theme, leaning into
technology aesthetics from the early-mid 20th century, replacing steam with
heavy machinery, combustion engines, and early atomic interests.

Setting up a dedicated server:

Set up a NeoForge 1.21.1 server with the correct version (likely 21.1.236)
Install a fresh instance of the modpack locally via Modrinth
Copy over these folders to your server directory: datapacks, mods, config, kubejs, villagerpacks
Disable/remove the following client-side only mods on the server:
Sodium, RespackOpts, Immersive Minimaps, Entity Texture Features, Entity Model Features, Iris, Iris Veil Compat, Color Wheel, Color Wheel Patch, Polytone, Ponder For Kaleidoscope Cookery, Cubes Without Borders, FancyToasts, Barebones McQoy, Smooth Swapping, Better Clouds, Distraction Free Recipes, Presence Footsteps, MegaBeaconBeams, Nuit (Fabric Skyboxes), Skyboxify (Optiboxes)
Configure your server with at least 8 GB of ram (12-16gb recommended)
Set the World Type in server properties to "sky_archipelago"
Add the datapacks from their folder to moonlight_global_datapacks (you may need to remove DnT Nether Fortress for load order reasons, unless you merge it with our patch)
Enable and configure automatic server backups!
(Sable/Aeronautics and other mods are in active development and known to be unstable which may cause corruptions! Backups are highly recommended!)

> **Help! My game gets stuck loading on launch!** > > Depending on how you install the modpack, Modrinth may use the wrong NeoForge version. The required version is strictly 21.1.236, see below for instructions to fix this. >

Downgrading the NeoForge version:

Open your the modpack's Instance Settings in Modrinth
Select the Instance tab and unlink the modpack to enable editing
Click Edit and then open the drop down for the NeoForge version
Select the NeoForge version 21.1.236
Save and wait for it to install, then you should be good to go!

My game is crashing on launch!** > > This is a known minor issue which can generally be avoided by keeping the game in focus as it launches and not tabbing out or tampering with it until loaded. Report on discord if persistent. > **How much RAM should I allocate?** > > The pack runs best with 8 GB of RAM on default settings, when using less (4 GB) you may experience stuttering.
